Mad Blanks
 Superb component, May 2, 2008

The component (ver. 1.1.0 Beta 3) is very easy to install. Once it is installed you have to devote half an hour to understand its logic, go through the demos and manuals provided at the project homepage, but it is worth to do it!

First look may suggest to someone that it is "user-unfriendly". But later you realise that this is the way to do a good a flexible, professional quiz module. I see no alternative for this component among *free* quiz modules. Many thanks for this great work. I hope he will continue support this project.

JoomlaMindmap
little help for installing, November 22, 2007
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

JoomlaMindmap First of all: this is a great extension and I thank for Mustafa Görmezer for providing it to the community for free!

I had a problem with installation nad it took me about 20 minutes on the Internet to resolve it. I write this review to save this 20 minutes for others:

As user "guerob" wrote (February 18, 2007) the only key to make it work is to write the "absolute path" in the config.php of the mindmap config file. He is right, but some users still may wonder ho to get this info, since servers are different.

Since I use a service provider for my website, it was not trivial for me how to get it. This is what you need to do: 1. Login as Admin into your joomla admin site.
2. Go to the Site -> Global Configuration menu
3. Click on the "Server" tab.

Here in the first row you will find the Absolute path,
that you need to insert into the mindmap config.php.

After this , mindmap works like a dream.

(Later I found this info at Mustafa's homepage, but it is written in german, so this review still may help some users.)

Thanks Mustafa, please keep improving this great extension! Greg

Expose Flash Gallery
 Excellent component, June 12, 2007

Expose Flash Gallery Once you made it work, it is one of the best component available for joomla. (One little trick for installation: make sure the folder indicated in the manual is set writeable.)

Many thanks to the authors for this great work!

Here is my wish list:
- having public AND password protected albums would be very helpful.
- Optionally set the album manager accessible for public not only via the joomla admin interface.
