J!Analytics - Google Analytics Module
 Satisfying simplicity, August 7, 2008

Very easy and stable:

download, login as admin on your site and install.

Open module, give your google UA code in (copy paste from google) - offcourse you need a google account for this -
Enable the module (preferable in the lowest position there is (i.e. footer)) and it works like a charm!

Thank you for this simplicity!

Of course you can make a theme/template with google analytics integrated, but working with such a module has a lot of advantages (install / deinstall, enable/disable on certain sections of your site, make a duplicate install to even use more UA codes (on different pages)etcetera.

Multi AdSense
 didn't work, May 7, 2008

Multi AdSense Tried to install and tested, but it didn't work for me.

At some places it completely ruined the (default J1) template.
At other it only shows the title, but nothing else.

There is no explanation of how to set up or fill the fields, maybe I did something wrong, but there was no information fields or so to inform me about this, so I didn't give it anymore attention then deleting it...

I'm sorry if I mist a great module from a maybe great builder,.. but I simply didn't get what I expected.

last posts from SMF
SImple and efficient, December 30, 2006
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

last posts from SMF It simply does the job, nothing more, nothing less.

You can choose between last posts, or last topics, to suit your needs.

Indeed the current versions uses the short_subject from SMF, which is limited at 23 characters.
Despite the option to set the maximum length of the topic or post. This is bit poor, but it still is a great and simple solution which does the job.

Since it does what is says, and the only regret is the limited characters in the links, but it still functions the way it's supposed to, I'll rate it with Good, a future adjustment of the 23 character limit immediately upgrades it to excellent for me.

Compliments and thanks towards the developer.

VirtueMart
Easy 2 handle Shopping cart, December 24, 2006

VirtueMart Since the last upgrade, the virtuemart shop convinced me that this really is the shopping cart solution to use.

Use it for a while now and it is stable, and easy to handle.
Offcourse it is still a wok in progress and always can be improved,.. but what isn't?

For downloads only, or for products which needs to be shipped, this shop is a great solution. It's easy to handle and needs almost no explanation for the shop holder.

For multi lingual and/or international shops... I don't know if this is what you should use. But as long as you use 1 language and a differsity of shipping- and payingmethods, this does the job.
It can't be compared to OSCommerce, yet, since it's much younger, and new features regularly come out. And Virtuemart has an integrated CMS solution which OSCommerce can't offer, the strength of Joomla!

At the end the best plus for me and most joomla users is the seamless integration with our favorite CMS.

Letterman Newsletter Component
Great newsletter solution, July 28, 2006

Letterman Newsletter Component Great newsletter solution, integrates perfectly, import en export userlist ability.

Easy to send both html and text version.

Missing (or haven't found) the ability to mail 1 person, or a few persons without using to whole subscribers list.
The ability to mail only editors/autors etc is already present.

Overall a great newsletter module, I do recommend it!

Keep up the good work! And thanks for this stable and clean solution!

Community Builder
Perfect solution with extended capability!, June 30, 2006

Community Builder Respect for the developers!

Great usermanagement tool, adds a lot of extended capability, very userfriendly, and a lot potential!

In development are some great (already (stable) working) plugins like for phpbb forum and galleries etc.
Takes over the usermanagement from joomla without affecting anything, cooperating perfectly.

Extend your user profiles, users can easily edit them theirselves. If preferred optional fields keep oversight of actions under userprofiles (like users' articles, posts, etc).
Adds a manageable memberlist. Easy to define extra tabs with info about the user like; a curriculum vitea; car-details; company info; software info; etc. etc.

I definitly would recommend it, especially for those who want to have more specialized usermanagement!
Cheer, compliments!

FacileForms
 Perfect!, June 29, 2006

FacileForms As said, it's an advanced form (and more!) extension.
It does the job.

First time install the samples, this will help you to get the general indea how it works.
Compliments for those who earn them!

Letterman Newsletter Component
Great simple and effective newsletter solution!, June 12, 2006

Letterman Newsletter Component Easy integration, easy installation. Immediately adopts the css used.

Little feature request:
- unsubscribe function uses username and email address without any security
- Anyone can delete any user from the list when the combination username and email address is known

For example a simple confirmation email, or demanding the user to login first would prevent abuse. An other way is to generate a hash-link, so every subscribed user receives a personal unsubscription link.

Beside this "security" issue, it's a great module/component!
