To preface, I a very experienced "old school" web designer that has run multimillion dollar ecom sites, and managed large school-based websites for several years. I'm a recent joomla convert, and am impressed with the platform as a whole, but am new to the components, mambots, etc.

When I needed the "contact us" portion of our website to have more required fields than the default version, and the canned html editor that came with joomla would not read hidden values on forms, I began my form search. The free options were complicated (even for someone like me with programming knowledge) and took far too much time to even begin to understand. I even purchased another component (Easy 1-2-3 Form Builder) that was supposed to be easy only to have it fail when posting. When contacting support, they were able to make it work, but I could not replicate their results on new forms.

Then I purchased Phil-A-Form and was able to not only fix my "contact us" form, but create other high end forms on my site. The instructions are clear, and the tutorials on their website are terrific. Within 5 minutes, and old school programmer like me was able to have several forms up and running with no glitches. I have several 3rd party components and mambots running on my main site and have never bothered to review one, but this one deserved the effort to create a login just to say how great it was.
