AxtaWeb Site Manager (ASM)
 Unrated, concerns, October 20, 2007
0 of 1 people find this review helpful:

AxtaWeb Site Manager (ASM) Hi, I can see how this could be useful to web developers, but I have some real concerns in my situation, where my customers manage their own content. From the frontpage, you can move modules and all sorts of stuff without any "undo". Too scary. I prefer to give my users My Content, a front-end content component, as as they get used to Joomla!, slowly teach them the backend as they need to expand their abilities. Also, the GUI (user interface) for this component is awkward, hard to tell what you are doing. I did not give it a fair try because I didn't feel it was safe to turn users loose on, so I am not rating it.

myContent
 a real blessing, September 5, 2007

myContent frontend content management for everyone-- users don't have to be technical to add content-- very helpful and useful, works intuitively and right out of the install. nice!

"JoomlaCloner" - backup and restore
 awkward, September 3, 2007

"JoomlaCloner" - backup and restore awkward and doesn't work well. finally did get it working several months and upgrades after i first bought it. too bad it doesn't meet the simplicity and quality standards of the free component, JoomlaPack.

joomlaXplorer
great extension but has been supplanted, August 30, 2007
1 of 2 people find this review helpful:

joomlaXplorer see eXtplorer for the new version, much cooler. but this one still gets a 5, it works great from the moment of install. very intuitive. with this, you do not ever need a separate FTP client.

eXtplorer
 a great tool, August 29, 2007

eXtplorer between this and chronoforms, all is well on the Joomla! front (er, *back*... end) =)

be sure and download the most recent version (RC1 at the moment, I think)--the versions are not in order at the sourceforge page.

JoomlaPack - AJAX powered backup and restore
truly effortless & works perfectly, July 21, 2007

I never thought there would be a better extension than chronoforms, but I was wrong. Thank you for this great great extension. The pros are: it works, easily, effortlessly. It is professional. It is easy to migrate a site using this. It is also easy to backup. The cons are: none that I know of.

Backend Content Search
works with the right admin template, March 6, 2007
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

Backend Content Search The Essential Plazza Blue admin template has built-in functionality to use this component, and it puts a search box in the upper right of the admin screen. Other admin templates probably have this also but I have not tried any others.

Joomap
Works great. Simple. Google loves it., February 25, 2007

Joomap I have no idea why another reviewer had trouble with the google site maps. I have installed this on dozens of sites and never had a problem.

Display News by BK
Nice, Easy, Looks Good, Works Well, January 14, 2007

Instant installation, lots of options, well explained. Able to define custom CSS, thank you thank you thank you.

ChronoForms
Oh, this is the best, December 21, 2006

ChronoForms I have created some pretty complex forms, very quickly. There's not much to say, it does the job perfectly, the help/info things are clear. A great tool. I've only used the HTML part, but now I'm thinking I can use the other options to put the data into the database as well as email the forms. The developer's site has a forum on it. Pretty cool all around.
