Agora 1.0.4 Acropolis
Open Source at its best, August 21, 2008

Agora 1.0.4 Acropolis Having struggled getting other forums to work, this one came as a shock. Streets ahead of the rest and as others have said the support is phenomenal.
There is a minor twitch with menus when on a VirtueMart site but it is best to run it full width anyway - so hardly an issue.
It works, its easy, can be a little complex if you want to really use all the functionality, but you don't need to be a techie to work it out. Converter from FB works smoothly too!

JoomVR ImGMap
Looks goods on first try, September 17, 2007

Smooth install, smooth operation, Good job. Needs a component so it can be used optionally.

MamboCharge
Using on two sites, September 11, 2007

The developer tends to email directly rather than respond on board which can be irritating and does not look so good on the board.

But I found him to be helpful if not the fastest to respond.

Once up and running things do go smoothly with no technical problems other than one with Joomfish. This is being worked on and is not overly serious.

Overall this is a solid extension that is weak in documentation and manual controls. Once you get over the mental hurdle of using the Report function for setting up manual memberships and fixing any other glitches, it is an easy to use and reliable tool.

I depend on it for income!

I have not used the click payments system, just simple subscriptions.

DOCman
 Disappointing, June 17, 2007

DOCman Does not really qualify as document management, only seems to be effective as a fancy FTP tool. Cannot handle html, has no user documentation and poor forum response.
