Database Query
 Link in practically any database data, July 23, 2007

Database Query I have been using this component for about 3 weeks now and had to take some time to write a review. This is by far the best database linking component for Joomla.
Once you figure out how to link in the backend databases setup your customized templates and add your categories you can put your data anywhere you want!
A mistake I made was linking to a menu directly within the categories - that does not work. You need to manually add the DBQ Manager component as a link on a menu within the Joomla menu manager. Then you customize by opening the menu item.
Overall this one deserves an award for the level of professionalism involved. No negatives unless of course you are shaky on how SQL databases work. Then you may need to spend some time figuring things out.

Fabrik
 bug fixes need to be published, July 9, 2007

Fabrik paying 20 to get the bug fixes is a bit steep and out of character for a Joomla developer.
If the fix is available they need to publish it!

I have an undefined variable allElementData. Searched the fabrikar.com forum. Same type of problems turn up several times over several months but no answer or fix given.
