It's FULLY working now!

You need:
- to upload the library FOLDERS (Services/ and Auth/) in your joomla root (if you have your site in /var/www/html/joomla10/ install it in joomla10/, not elsewhere).
- PHP5 (not working with the PHP 4.4.8 I have on shared hosting, may work with other versions?)

Component has NO settings, it's normal, go to the module and configure "OpenID Login" from there. It even works without touching any settings. Oh, and think to publish the module ;)

I contacted the author about the new salted password since 1.0.13 and he replied immediately and updated the package.
See the "updated since" above. It was tested and working on 1.0.14 and 1.0.15

It's just a trick to use your domain name as your OpenID address (an alias) so you can sign to OTHER sites.

Doesn't provide OpenID registration/login on your site.

There's a new "XT" version (component, no module) but no explanation about the difference with the other.
BTW, XT installs OK. doc in PDF is clear.
But 'other fields' doesn't work as pretended in the PDF doc (textarea + php + mysql writing process doesn't like (greater than, lower than for HTML) and ""(double quotes for INPUT TYPE= and others) and you have other parameters in the same db field).
You need to keep in mind that you want a link to the RESULT page URL (see the form action in the source), not the login page URL. And also to think to accept scripts for the included page domain in some case.
Finally, the main problem is that user and password is in CLEAR in the source (in single mode at least, didn't check others). So it's visible by search engine spiders and people in general...

New version RC3 (March 2007) with Joomla 1.0.13: working
It is very frustrating at first:
Help is NOT accessible via admin section (even when logging at mambostatic from another tab), so you have to crawl mambotasic web site (http://www.mambotastic.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=category§ionid=5&id=73&Itemid=47)
But then you discover how to get the user access from frontpage.
The only stuff I didn't find now is SMS in new user registration. It's a feature but I can't get how to activate SMS activation code (like clickatell).

I just have 2 services to (mass) sell. Don't need virtuemart for that. Now paypal encrypted buttons work in my left navigation bar!
I found weird to install 3 different things (1 component, 2 mambots) to make it work and I never had the RAW button.
The help somewhere still says {mosraw n} instead of {rawcontent n}.
I use 1.0.13 and module is proudly updated for ... 1.0.11
Should be upgraded.

BTW, it opens lots of possibilities!
