Blocklist component
 Easy to use - and effective, May 28, 2008

Blocklist component I started getting regular spam through my contact page. After obtaining the relevant IPx from my site stats, I blocked them with this and - hey presto ! - no more spam.

It's also got a good little user manual which is downloadable from the developer's site at http://www.joomla-addons.org/documentation/blocklist_doc_v1.pdf.

SuperSearch I couldn't get it to work on my site either but it may be due to my lack of expertise rather than the module itself.

That's the negative. However, Ramon deserves a massive positive for his quick responses to queries sent to him. The module is definitely worth pursuing, especially if you're more technically competent than I am.
