Room Booker
A good base product - customisation made it perfect., March 2, 2008

Room Booker This is the first review I've written for a joomla component - but felt this one was well due. Though there may be some initial glitches (what component doesn't have them) overall I am very happy with the product and the provider.

When I first purchased Room Booker i was a little disappointed as it did have some minor bugs. The client I used it for then wanted some fairly extensive customisations...and so I searched for someone local to customise it for me - without success (given the budget). I then contacted the developer for customisations and have been very happy and impressed with the product and service since.

I think a component is not going to suit every user's requirements 100%. But it is great when a developer offers the ability for customisations - and even better when that service and end result is efficient and effective. After all the changes the client requested, I know they have got exactly what they wanted at a very reasonable price - much better than if I had a local developer build it for me from scratch.

My lesson, if the component looks like it does most of the job you need (but not quite all of it) then don't hesitate on using the developer's customisation service.
