Joomlearn LMS Basic Edition
Nothing to Lose Here., May 5, 2008

Joomlearn LMS Basic Edition I have several folks that I work with that needed training
on various job tasks. This component worked perfectly. Making tests were super easy. I was able to train the trainer in about 5 minutes. For the users it was easy also. Just login and see which tests are available.

As it says. It is the only FREE LMS that Joomla has- and it does its job. Minus a few compatability issues and the lack of forum support, this component stands out through its standing capability and its price.

I will most likely upgrade to silver edition if this product works out for my office.

Joomla's2Go! 1.0.x - Standalone Joomla! Builds
 Server 2 Go Rocks!, April 26, 2008

Joomla's2Go! 1.0.x - Standalone Joomla! Builds I love server2go. I've got a few website builds on my thumbdrive because of it. Like it says, just unzip the file and run the .exe file and you've got a joomla site all setup. Only problem is the site's in spanish and the translate button wouldn't work for me. Still, got around it.

Joomla! Credits
 Good Catch-all, January 1, 2008

Joomla! Credits Sometimes I wonder whether or not I'm respecting a component authors work by removing the “powered by” lines. Even when the author says it’s okay.

After I installed this component and left a link crediting all of the components on my site, I sat back and let out a sigh of relief. I no longer had any feelings of guilt lingering over my head, even IF everything was GNU/GPL.

Superb Component

Minor note, if you have admin modules published in the backend it will result in SQL errors in place of the component authors credits. Probably just an oversight and something very easy to fix.

Sigsiu Online Business Index 2 (SOBI 2)
All You Need is SOBI!!!, December 31, 2007

Sigsiu Online Business Index 2 (SOBI 2) If you need a directory, a list, a blog, a file management system... ANYTHING. If you are competent in HTML and know a little CSS, SOBI has the capability to whatever project you need.

I absolutely love it, and praise the developers for keeping it opensource!

hwdVideoShare YouTube Clone
As it says, it requires FFmpeg, Mencoder and FLVTool2, December 18, 2007
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

hwdVideoShare YouTube Clone From checking out the demo this is the final polish I needed to my site.

I regrettably purchased a membership so that I could gain access to the installation instructions and discovered that installing any of the requirements is beyond my understanding.

If you are not competent in server management or use shared hosting like I do, I would suggest waiting until the component allows third party videos.

Superb component for the seasoned folks out there I guess.

iFrame in Module Position
Very Easy to Use, December 6, 2007

Love the module. Would give it 6 stars if it allowed x & y coordinates ^_^

sh404SEF
 WOW, July 26, 2007

sh404SEF I must say, I was very hesitant to download this component. Despite the many great reviews I still had second thoughts due to bad experience with past SEF URL components (causing components to not work, slowing down the site, steep learning curve). So I took a deep breath and clicked install...

It was the greatest decision I have made.

Not only is this component SIMPLE, it is FASTER and works FLAWLESSLY with my complex Joomla setup. The Developer has tweaked this component and has answered all my dumb questions on the forum with the same approach; lightning speed. This component has been tinkered away by so many brilliant minds and is a prime example of a successful opensource project!

Thanks Shumisa!
