I've been using Jom Comment for a quite some time. I've been experiencing slow loading times, but nothing significant. A few days ago, my hosting warned that my joomla site is using 95% cpu, and slowing entire server. It was Jom Comment that overloaded web server. And the more comments you've got, slower it gets. I've got articles with 150+ comments, taking 25 seconds to load, and 4 seconds when i've disabled Jom Comment.

If you turn off gravatar support, it gets a little better, but not significantly.

So... I'm looking for another solution, as my hosting company warned it will turn off my entire site if it continue to overload server.

Jom Comment support was not helping, which is expected, since it looks that this component has major design flaw.

It works very nicely, no problems during installation, quite a few options.

Only gripe might be a performance hit due to extra search queries, but you'll have to live with it if you dont want to add related items manually (as i did up until now).

Clean and it works. Yes, it lacks a few options, but all in all it does the job nicely.

There is a problem with log compressing system BSQ uses. My log file is 300mb after 1,5 mil views. Good for small and seldom visited sites.

Author tried to help, but wasnt able to.

Installed component, made my survey, posted it in 5 minutes flat. I dont know how good other extensions in this group work but this one is great.
