Contrary to any criticism on the page, I think this is a solid component.

The article / podcast configuration is very helpful - particularly if you wish to use 'latest news' and other content-display modules to display your podcasts.

The configuration is straightforward, and the option to choose from 3 different types of players (Flash, HTML, QuickTime) is a nice feature.

And of course! You have to upload the audio files via FTP - they are just too large, in general, or a site-upload anyway. The ability to configure the audio-cast folder makes that function as simple as possible.

Great component - works well for most uses.

MosModule isn't one of Joomla's most popular extensions - but it should be.

Using MosModule you can add generally well-styled modules into your content items - a desire of many, many, Joomla users for various extensions.

The use of the bot is easy : {mosmodule module=modulename}

And give you a lot of options. And you aren't just limited to adding stand-alone modules (like 'latest news') either. A number of components come with their own modules, and MosModule can generally add them as well.

This has been a HUGE plus for my Joomla sites - for example - this way, I can add the 'Frontpage Slideshow' to a content item, or one of many other component/modules.

JoomlaStats is a nice, straightforward Joomla website statistics component - that is particularly good for non-techies and new users.

The options available for collecting data (with a module, bot, or template code) add a lot to the component, and give you the option of collecting data for each Joomla page - with the actual item titles.

That's a nice feature, and while JoomlaStats could probably use a tweak or two to its visual interface (simpler : better) it's a good component.

Even for non-techies using a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor, things can be confusing.

Not so with JCE : It's a great editor, with easily-identifiable tool bar buttons, step-by-step options for adding links & many more user-friendly features.

I've been editing Mambo / Joomla for years - JCE is the best editor out there by far - and my clients can use it.

Both the free and commercial versions are great and well-worth checking out.

Facile Form's has a great visual interface - non-techie, non-programmer website admins can create a form in minutes.

Additionally to that, there are tons of options available for finer customization, for more advanced users. *and* You can find a small repository of available forms ('recommend this site' for example) available at the FF website.

Great component - a huge gift to the Joomla! community.

Great Newsletter component for multiple newsletters, or a higher volume of mail (compared to Letterman).

Acajoom has great support for tracking and logging sent messages, exporting and importing recipient databases, and other functions.

A well-made and versatile component with lots of support and frequent, free, updates. - Thanks!
