Thought I would weigh in on this since there aren't many reviews and this does have some nice little features besides making us feel like labrats trying to get to the download phase.

The most notable feature is the way voting results are presented which as of the time of this review is so far the best looking. Pie, Graph, line charts are very clean and certainly reflect professionalism. Good work on the developer for this I do enjoy the lite version and will most likely upgrade :)

Having said that, the registration process is tedious and may be enough to put potential customers off from even trying the product. Currently the process is:

1. register
2. verify email
3. select subscription level
4. accept subscription level confirmation
5. download product after several more confirmations

It took me a good 20 mins to figure that all out so maybe this will help potential testers. Overall good little addition keep up the good work, would be nice to have easier access to the download.

I've spent a lot of time testing out the numerous components and modules available for Joomla and I'm very impressed with the overall quality work coming out of this community. With regard to forum software, wow Fireboard does the trick and more ;)

The final 2 in my Joomla forum shootout came down to Fireboard and SMF which I believe has more support being that it's available to a wider audience outside of Joomla. But when it came down to it Fireboard was teh winnar!

Reasons:

100% support for Joomla from the ground up
Integrates with my JoomSEF for purdy urls & page rank
Integrates with my site search with topics/posts in results
Integrates with my articles by semi-automatically adding a comment on this article ability which creates a forum topic based on the article.
High level of module/plugin development to ensure operation with future components

Extensive amount of customization and forum options are available to help achieve the desired look and feel. There are some decent templates to work off of and up to this point none of the forums I've put together for various sites have given me a headache.

I've been playing around with various comment modules/components for at least 3 days now and so far this is the best pick out for me. The key elements were obviously:

1. A clean commenting design
2. Options to specify automatic post approval
3. Security options i.e. captcha
4. Clean code that doesn't funk my site or articles!

This is a winner on all fronts and I highly recommend. GREAT Job to the developer, I love that there's 3 different template themes provided. By chance would it be possible to get the "bubble beige" template from the previous AkoComment? :)
