JCE
 Excellent tool, November 20, 2007

JCE I use this for my default editor. It sets up content in a W3C compliant fashion, with minor tweeking. I like the flexibility it gives with providing links and image insertions. This should be a default editor, instead of the other one that comes with Joomla.

Security Images: THE CAPTCHA engine
Needs cleanup, badly!, November 13, 2007

Security Images: THE CAPTCHA engine I had installed the Captcha engine and the installation was with no problem. Seamless upload of the ZIP file.

After spending some time on my test environment (using Joomla 1.0.13), it still would not work and I had to hack the mess out of to *try* to make the images appear. They still wouldn't show up even after the php files were edited.

For a stand-alone Joomla installation, this wouldn't be a problem; however, for a web development client, it is unacceptable to have to go through such modification and issues that would be better handled through a one-time installation.

Don't get me wrong, I think this is a very good tool; however, the efficiency of its setup leaves much to be desired.

PDA mambot
Right on time!, November 13, 2007

Excellent Mambot! Works just like it says it is supposed to. I test my Mobile site versions with my Treo and this mambot does the trick just fine. Perhaps you should inquire about including this mambot with future releases of Joomla... (just a thought)

Project Fork v.0.6.7
 Functional Component, November 13, 2007

Project Fork v.0.6.7 I like the component. Works great. I have been working wtih PHProjekt and I like this one better, since it integrates with my Joomla CMS instantiation. It is an excellent extension that I can use for managing work with my fellow developers. Excellent features are the importing of Joomla users.

The only difficulty I am experiencing with it is with the date management functionality in the task manager. If I put in a specific date, it defaults to the current date when I save a new/modified task. (v.0.6.7)
