CB Picture Admin
Very nice system!, August 21, 2007

CB Picture Admin Easy to install.
Works well right "out-of-the-box"
Highly recommended.
Only issue we see is that documentation (to use the functions is a little poor). For example, we have been looking for the photo moderation section (so we can approve an uploaded profile photo) for 58 minutes so far - We still have not found it. (Moderation email should include instructions).
A well thought out add-on however. A super new feature could be profile videos (not just pictures).
Again, well recommended!

 Be careful, March 22, 2006

I am no Joomla! expert, but just a warning that there might be conflicts with this component and Joomla's existing components (or another I added). When I used Joomla! admin to install this component, this is the error message I received: "Another component is already using directory: "/home/ziggy23/public_html/components/com_contact/"

So users please check first! It does not work for me.

Mambo only or Joomla too??, March 21, 2006

I could not get this to work in Joomla 1.0.8 (Stable). Poor documentation. Also a suggestion, please clearly label downloads as "com_xx", "mod_xx", etc. this would be very helpful. Also, for a newbie it is confusing when the downloads refer to Mambo only and makes new users question if this really is a Joomla extension. Again, I could not get this one to work.

 Correct?, March 19, 2006

CorrectPNG! Using Joomla 1.0.8 (Stable) I could not get it to work. However, it was a nice idea. I have removed this plug-in. Thanks.

FacileForms
 Smooooooth..., March 17, 2006

FacileForms The install was smooth and the contributors web site (www.facileforms.biz) has a flash tutorial to get you started.

There was a little confusion after creating my form until I realized it could be included as a module or component. (There was an error message on the web site). After unpublishing the module and following the steps to include this as a component on the front end (contributors guide is here: www.facileforms.biz/content/view/14/110/) it ran very smoothly.

In fact I am surprised at the easy of use once you sit down and spend the time to go through the contributors tips and tutorials.

In my opinion this is a nice form based contributed package to get you going and up in a "tick". It even has more robust application-type uses if you desire to take it further.

Thanks!

 Missing files, March 7, 2006
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

Just a brief note. Downloaded the file com_joomladesk.zip as per the link above. When using Component Installer it will not upload all the files (in particular it does not upload the 'uploads' for example). It says installation successfull, but when going to configure component you will get file missing errors. Also, the instructions are not clear on this site. Is there someone who would be kind enough to translate the notes and instructions in proper english? Here is an example: "Module JoomladeskToday: shows a list of tickes you prommised to have done today ore the day's before if you did not do it." What does this mean? Who is doing what tickets today?? Please would someone be kind enough to help this contributor with language translation? I wish I could understand Dutch. Thanks.
