Jombackup daily mysql backup bot
Use this bot!, February 21, 2008

This tool will give you peace of mind about your MySQL databases.

The output is in the form of a script that will reconstruct your database tables and repopulate the data. Configuration is trivial -- just set up an email address.

I use this on ALL my sites, and I highly recommend it.

Joomlashack Flexible Login Module
 Withdrawal symptoms, January 31, 2008

Joomlashack Flexible Login Module Very nice module for Joomla! 1.0.13. You need to touch your CSS, but not extensively.

I would really like to see a version compatible with Joomla! 1.5 and CB, now that 1.5 is stable.

RSform! - Form Management Component (J1.5 also)
Very nice tool for my event registration form, January 23, 2008

RSform! - Form Management Component (J1.5 also) Out of the box, the forms are very easy to use. I experimented with four or five packages and decided to lay the $10 down for RSform!

The RSform! forums have some nice tricks to make the layout nicer or pre-populate fields from registered user information. You will need to experiment a little, and some knowledge of CSS will help as the fields all have class names and styles can be worked from the administrative backend forms.

I believe the tool could be extended by the user to include a payment gateway, as RSform! allows scripting, but nobody's taken this on yet.

The results are stuffed into your MySQL database and you can define your own email template as a confirmation notice to the user and administrators.

Very nicely done.
