Contact Form Bot
Very useful but has some stupid flaws, March 21, 2008

Contact Form Bot This bot is very useful but unfortunately it has some flaws:
1. It does not bring its labels from the language file.
2. It lacks the subject field which the Joomla core contact form has.

Slick RSS
 No date, January 18, 2008

Slick RSS Great module, but it lacks the option to display the date that comes with the feed.

DS-Syndicate
Does almost all I need, January 2, 2008

DS-Syndicate Great component. I only miss one thing: to be able to choose only fulltext for the feed. All my site is preset to hide introtext when viewing fulltext. Since Technorati and similar services require fulltext in the feed, the only option DS-Syndicate gives me is to show both Introtext and Fulltext, which of course looks terrible when I often repeat the content of the intro in the fulltext.

Changing all my site is not an option.

If you would add the option to show only fulltext, I would recommend this component to everyone ;)

JoomSEO
Bad options for start page, November 13, 2007
1 of 2 people find this review helpful:

JoomSEO looked promising, but there was no way to set a static title for the start page, which makes it useless to me. I emailed the developer about it but have not received an answer after more than one week.

SEF Service Map
 A couple of concerns, July 7, 2007
4 of 4 people find this review helpful:

SEF Service Map Tried it out and was disappointed that there is no option to take out the image that is included into each link. It would be better from an SEO point of view to get rid of those images (icons).

Also, there is a link to the developer's homepage in the bottom of the page. That is okay in most cases, but on a sitemap, there should be no external links if we are speaking strict SEO.

AdSense Plugin
Shows in blocked sections and won't shut of if unpublished, January 4, 2007

I just tried out the AdSense Plugin and it seamed like a great thing until I found out that it displays the adverts also in several content items in sections where they should not show. Then I unpublished the mambot, since this is a live site. BUT THE ADVERTS STILL SHOW EVEN IF THE MAMBOT IS UNPUBLISHED!!! Not until I set Use AutoAds = No, the adverts finally dissapeared from the site.

Can it be that it is not compatible with OpenSEF?

If it would work as said, it would be a very useful plugin.

eventCal
Good, but why no itemID?, October 24, 2006

It's a neat little component that fits my needs fairly well.

One irritating issue:
The page title and contentheading shows "event calendar - [menu item name]". A standard Joomla component should allow you to freely choose the name of the page, but here we are stuck with "evant calendar".

One serious issue:
There is no itemID in the event-links created by the module mod_eventcal_upcoming. This module is the very reson why I use this component, but since itemID is not inherrited in the links, the target page is terribly empty (no modules shown). No good, and no Joomla standard. Way to go ;)

Run Digital Sitemap
Better with advanced SEF, July 17, 2006
3 of 3 people find this review helpful:

Run Digital Sitemap RD Sitemap has a sef_ext.php file, which makes it compatible with advanced SEF components such as OpenSEF or 404SEF.

This makes it better than Joomap.

Joomla SEF Patch
Long longed for, but still long for H1, June 19, 2006

Joomla SEF Patch I have longed for this since I started using Joomla. Thank you soo much for this patch! This is soo needed in Joomla core! Now we only wait for td class="contentheading" to become H1. When, when, when?
