Public Mail (visitors can email registered users)
Great idea but..., May 5, 2007

Public Mail (visitors can email registered users) Thanks for such a great idea. However, this plugin definitely has the potential to attract spammers, scammers and spam-robots to websites.

Maybe if you can implement Captcha to at least stop robots or put some sort of administrative approval for the messages (e.g. holding them in a quo for inspection since the messages are being submitted by annonymous users) this plugin can become an excellent tool for community websites, especially the sites which have a lot of let's say artists, musicians or other popular people as members.

Also, it will be useful to let the members to activate and de-activate the plugin from the front-end for the ones who don't want to be contacted.

Keep up the good work.

Beautify your pdf's with the Joomla PrettyPDF
Good work but..., December 29, 2006
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

Beautify your pdf's with the Joomla PrettyPDF I just wanted to share a few observations:

1. On your website, every time I click the PDF button on ANY page with a PDF icon, the same large PDF file containing the product information pops up instead of a PDF version of the specific content for that particular page.

2. After the PDF window is closed, clicking on most menu items from the top menu creates the following error message:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/Richard/domains/joomlatwork.com/public_html/administrator/components/com_jreprettypdf/fpdf_jre.php:1024) in /home/Richard/domains/joomlatwork.com/public_html/administrator/components/com_jreprettypdf/fpdf_jre.php on line 1018
FPDF error: Some data has already been output to browser, can't send PDF file

3. €39.00 price tag (about $80.00) makes the plugin out of range for many people who use Joomla! CMS to create websites. A more reasonably priced extension may generate more income based on volume sales for you and will also eliminate the pressure from other developers who out of desperation may develop a similar component and release it for free or at a lower price.

This is just my opinion, otherwise it looks like a fine Joomla! plugin.
Keep up the good work.

I manage a very busy community site with hundreds of members and this is a "must have" for any site like mine. I've installed it in seconds and it is working like a charm sparing me from doing the extra work of tending to members who'd like to leave my site.

Keep up the grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat work. :))

Mini MP3 Player 2.4
 Thumbs up...., October 1, 2006

Mini MP3 Player 2.4 Great plugin to display an Audio file inside your content without allowing the visitors download access.

A better centering and positioning control will be a major plus.
Keep up the good work.

MyLinks
 Good one..., August 29, 2006
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

MyLinks This is a very useful tool for busy community/sales sites with lots of content.

Pity that you've stopped the development in March 05. For example, it does not work with Joomla! in SEF mode and has issues with saving certain searches by newer components. This component/module pack has lots of potential and I encourage you to continue with its development.

Keep up the good work.

Acajoom News
Good approach, a bit of a problem..., July 26, 2006

Acajoom News What every good Joomla Installation needs is a real good Newsletter system. So, after reading the specs, I downloaded and installed the component on a new Joomla! 1.0.10 installation. It realy looks and feels good seeing such a clean interface and promissing component. However, in most cases it seems to be putting a lot of load on MySQL database as it takes long to load an option at admin section and a few times in order to get the admin section back, I had to optimize the MySQL using the phpMyAdmin.

Keep up the good work.

JD

PS: I love the fact that by installing the components, it automatically installs the mambot and module!
