The Modulizer
 Works Great!, June 28, 2008

The Modulizer I was struggling to find a tabs & slides module to display modules horizontally, this extension gives horizontal functionality to other extensions that don't have it. It's perfect! Thank You!

ARTIO JoomSEF
Very Good Component, Bad Ads, June 24, 2008
1 of 2 people find this review helpful:

ARTIO JoomSEF I have a lot of components and modules, and this is rewriting urls for all of them. This component is the only one that has so many 3rd party extensions. This component did not work out of the box with the .htaccess file provide, but after I just used the standard joomla one with the 3rd party SEF it works perfect.

As for the Advertisements, I do not have a problem with a small straight forward ad in the footer or a link to your site. I think the problem with the meta tag ads is that you are using this SEF component so that you can control the meta tags, and then you realize there are ads in them. I think if you wanted to include a banner ad of some sort, everyone would have less of an issue with it. It seems sneaky to people the way that the ads are in the meta tags. If you want to have your ads in a free version, I feel that is OK, just have a banner or text ad instead of the meta ones.

Tutorials Component v1.0.1 Beta 2
On the right track!, June 18, 2008

Tutorials Component v1.0.1 Beta 2 I have been looking for a way to run my tutorial site with Joomla for a while, and this comes really close. Since it is still in Beta its hard to criticize.
-The Submission form looks great
-Easy to Set up
-display looks great

This isn't ready for mass consumption yet, but with some work it will be a very good component.
Recommendations:
-You should list the component under directory with SOBI, AlphaContent, and Mosets Tree
-Need ability to choose who can submit
-Need admin to be able to approve/disapprove with emil
-image resize on upload? or even better, let admin set image file size & then resize on the fly from original

Will be a great component when done!

Unique Article Wizard

AlphaContent 3.0.4 Ajax rating system included
The best indexing component!, March 29, 2007

AlphaContent 3.0.4 Ajax rating system included Of all of the index type extensions, this is the best because it isn't a separate entity that I have to re-enter my sections, categories and content into. I love that it uses the sections and categories already in use. I see many of the other comparable components redundant in the fact that they have separate content structures from that of the stock joomla. What a great FREE component. The only thing I could ask for is that the currently selected section displayed a better listing of categories each followed with a set number of latest/most popular item summaries. This would be more attractive than the large list of all items in a section. Maybe on the next release?:) But since this is Free who can complain?

Mod HTML - Google Adsense Module
The Best Banner Ads for Joomla!, June 29, 2006
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

This is the best for use with adsense! Blows the other adsense extensions out of the water. What I would really like to see is a banner manager that works like the oscommerce system, but since this is the only ad banner extension that allows you to just drop the banner code in.
