Gary´s Cookbook for Joomla 1.5.x
 Gary's Cookbook, May 10, 2008

Could not get it to work. 3.0.2 or 3.0.3, for 1.5. This can be a real great component and lots of fun. I could not get it to work. Backend Admin issues. Both appeared to install except for language modules. The help or website is not in english, so it's hard to find out how to fix the problems. It appears that most stem from variable in the php files under the administration/component/garyscookbook files.

Free Traffic With BlogRush Module Module loads and sets up easily.
BlogRush does not find the code on the site so it's useless.

1 PixelOut Audio Player v1.5.2 for Joomla 1.5.x Quick, Easy and it works. Not fancy, but a very simple plug in. You can write your own article and add this plugin.

Acajoom PRO

Acajoom PRO This newsletter is a must have for all businesses interested in keeping viewers updated and coming back. Acajoom PRO is the only one to offer the Smart Newsletter. This feature allows you to set up a newsletter, custom design it and set up the schedule, and with a small content tag, and cron task (available free) the newsletter goes out automatically by your schedule, (daily, weekly, or whatever you wish) with your updated articles. (Full, Intro text or just linked titles. Once it's set up, you do nothing... it works by itself. It Maintains lists, allows users to subscribe and unsubscribe. You can't ask for better!! Works with 1.5
Beware working with SEF in Joomla 1.5. This is a challenge, but the good news is that the support is better than the program. Adrien is the best!! Thanks for what should be rated as one of the best modules available.

Mini FrontPage
 Great Extension, February 6, 2008

Mini FrontPage This mini frontpage extension is easy to set up and run. Used in an article with loadposition is the way I use it on my frontpage. It works well with Joomla!1.5. There are several drawbacks, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy.
You must start your article with script. Images must be named simple and contain no spaces. Read more bar must be at least 200 characters deep. If you are not careful the drawback is an repeating error message which makes a mess of the extension. Can be viewed with IE, Mozilla and Safari.
Thanks templateplazza, this one is a keeper.

Acajoom News
 News, February 3, 2008

Acajoom News Acajoom News (free download) is easy to use and easy to set up. Works with Joomla!1.5. Very few extensions available at this time for 1.5, so this was a breath of fresh air.
The only issue is that with the free program you can not import your email database. You would have to buy the commercial "pro" addition to get that feature. I think the price is way to high for the commercial edition, so I will use until the price is adjusted or another program comes along.

JoomEdit

JoomEdit I wanted something I could give to all my authors. I found this extension very difficult to set up. I followed all instructions and then dead ended. When the package is opened you get black background with white print, and alot of information. I expected to get an editor. There are no mambots, and could not find folders and files that were given in instruction. This is not for the beginner. You need to be a programmer to figure it out.
As a matter of fact I totally gave up. The instructions are unclear, and difficult to read
