RequestFilter
So far So good.., August 15, 2006

Have installed this and the other security tool (flood control) on a couple of sites so far without any noticable problems. It's a bit hard to see any visible result but at least it doesn't break the site :)

Will post further results down the track as testing continues..

Flood Attack Protector Plugin (JoomlaEquipment)
So far so good.., August 15, 2006
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

I've installed this mambot and the other security tool request filter on a couple of sites that were recently flood attacked and so far so good.

On one site where it's installed I can see it working straight away - comes up with Flood detect! if I try hit a high use page too many times in a row..

Will post further results after further testing

 Clarification .., May 8, 2006

Yet again the fab support provided in the forum comes through :)

Criticism accepted brudinie - It does work really good.

What you need to be aware of is that it doesn't work in a "module" (which is all I tested it in because I wanted to use it to replace the random image module)

As I am now aware, content mambots don't run in modules :)

* However - you can get it to work in a module by using newsflash :)

I'll save you all a search - look at forum article below for hints (don't know if it will come through):

 Doesn't work.., March 14, 2006

Agree - doesn't work.. (

The info in the actual mambot isn't all that helpful - the website was better but unless I'm missing something obvious it don't work..

would be nice if it did :)
