RubberDoc (Beta)
Great - a few more improvements and it would be 5 stars!, July 22, 2008

RubberDoc (Beta) Hi,

I love the simplicity of this - it just works straight away and is simple yet powerful. I know one small bug-fix is on the way and I would also like to see:

* the documents listed in the same order as document manager
* the addition of nested categories!

But it's still great with the potential to get even better. Thanks for a great extension!!

Scrolling Add
Great potential, but found certain problems, June 29, 2008

Hi,

Really like the look of this component/module but I ran into problems when publishing it to newmodule position and then trying to use it with {mosloadposition}. In IE6 is displayed it in the wrong position and in IE7 it appears you can't use two {mosloadposition} on the same page (different modules) so thatwas a problem. Firefox worked wonderfully, not surprisingly...

Wonder if these problems can be fixed, or whether the browser issues cannot be overcome?

Dave.

My Blog
Great - really happy with it!, June 21, 2008

My Blog Hi all,

This is a great component - I'm really please with it! It installed easily, is pretty straightforward to get going and you can have an avatar easily associated with a blog post (either register at www.gravatar.com or it also integrates with CB and SMF I think).

I only needed it for a simple blog and it works just great... well worth the money.

Dave.

P.S. OUTSTANDING SUPPORT!!!!!

YOOaccordion
Great - but issues with colours on YOOtools, June 7, 2008

YOOaccordion Hi,

I really like the YOOtheme products - they're all really good looking and add some great functionality easily. I first used YOOtooltip - brilliant - and now am trying to get YOOaccordion on the same site.

The problem is, that these particular extensions can be styled black (they are white by default) by adding a line to your template index.php (I'm using a non-YOOtemplate) but this turns them ALL black. So, I've got a great looking YOOaccordion but the black YOOtooltip looks terrible on a dark background!

It does seem odd that it's "all or nothing" and I hope they consider individual colouring on the various modules as this really does restrict their use.

YOOtooltip
 Works excellently!, May 31, 2008

YOOtooltip Great little plugin - works pretty much out of the box - you just have to add a line to your template if you don't use a YOOtheme template. Interesting business model they use: having to join and then having access to all the extension/templates. But there's no doubting the quality of their work - very good indeed - and quick with support too.

Nofollow Mambot
Great Idea, but it broke SIG Pro, May 10, 2008

So I had to uninstall it... I checked the source and it had dumped some tag in the Simple Image Gallery Pro code and broke it...

Would like to see it developed though, as Joomla! would benefit from a bot such as this.

XTypo Plugin
Excellent plugin, could be even better, April 17, 2008

XTypo Plugin It really is great for someone such as myself with limited CSS knowledge - if you're happy enough to configure it's features then it'll do a great job for you!

Two points: there are differences between IE7 and FF2, but that's life! Also, I would like to be able to configure the text size for the xtypo_quotes, is that possible and if not, is there any reason why this cannot be implemented?

2J News Slider - Joomla Ajax Slider
Would have been excellent, but..., April 12, 2008

2J News Slider - Joomla Ajax Slider ... didn't work with JWTabs&Slides.

But the author was brilliant with his support - quick and helpful - and we've established that it's an Ajax clash and that when 2Joomla release their upcoming AjaxTabs extension those two should work together perfectly.

Thanks for a great extension which looks fab and is easy to install and understand.

News Tabs
 It's great - I love it!!, April 6, 2008

News Tabs I had a few problems to begin with (mine, not the extensions), mainly as I wasn't linking images to articles in the content and not using {mosimage} in the introtext. But once I'd played about with it, it looks great! I've got five tabs - one for each category in our news section and it really does the business for me! This is a local J1.0.15 and I'm hoping it's now working fine for J1.5.x because that's what we'll most likely use in the actual development. Emails to the author bounced back though - I wonder if that's been fixed now?! Anyway - thanks for a great component.

Nearly Perfect, but flaws I couldn't solve, February 16, 2008

Hi all,

I thought that there would be a plethora of free tooltip extensions out there, but from what I've seen so far, this isn't the case?!? Anyway, I tried this one, it installed easily but there are two problems: first, there is a black box around the tooltip and second, I couldn't get this working without an A HREF link tag and I only wanted a little tooltip to pop up over certain bits of text that didn't link anywhere!

I did email the developer, but unfortunately didn't get a reply as this could have been just what I'm looking for.
