Too bad, March 11, 2006 |
It doesn't work for me. First I tried to install it on a French site, but it didn't have a French language file. Not a problem, so it said it was going to use English instead. But I never got to display any kind of sitemap. I assume you publish the component in the main menu? It just gave me a blank page, and on an English language site it gave me the correct title "Sitemap" but no sitemap was displayed. When I wanted to go back in the backend to try to play with the settings I wasn't able to because again I get a blank page.
Oh well.

It doesn't display any hierarchy, so what is the point?

Very advanced but slow, March 11, 2006 |

This is by far the most advanced Sitemap component around but I am not using it because it is too slow, even with caching enabled. It lets you configure everything and the documentation is very complete, which is a big plus. So if you are prepared to make yourself familiar with it, then definitely give it a try. For me this is a bit too complex, I just need a simple sitemap.

This is quite cool! I tried it and though it is a bit complicated to get it to work (I wasn't sure you had to create the popup yourself) when it works it is sweet.
It would be good if there were some instructions on how to actually use it in the editor. As far as I can see the only way to get this working is by digging into the code, so it is not very n00b friendly.
Also, for some reason I don't get the dark grey background effect on Firefox. It does work fine on Internet Explorer.
