All-in-all this is a very good component and I would gladly recommend it to my clients who need a simple but beautiful events listing system. Over the last several months I have used almost all of the available events components and found that EventList is by far the most attractive and professional looking for showing the actual events and presenting the event information.

However I have run into several limitations that seriously limit it's usefulness for the majority of my clients. The first being the registration for events, while many events that my clients want listed are free there are often events that are not and would find the component far more useful in a wider variety of sites if there was a way of showing registration fees as gathering specific registration information. Without this I cannot use the component for paid-for events.

A dedicated calendar would also be highly useful!

I couldn't be happier with this extension, it is provides the most professional feeling knowledge base out there. It does exactly what I want it to do and looks amazing.

I had some trouble installing on my Joomla 1.5 site but Phil was right there to walk me through everything. I can't even begin to tell you how refreshing the support is, I have never experienced anything that even approximates his commitment and helpfulness. I would have given it 5 stars even if it wasn't one of the top 5 Joomla extensions just because of the service and support!
