I was skeptical because I couldn't read the download site (I don't speak Spanish) but because I already had a site running and didn't want to use the 1.0 component migrator, I decided to give it a try.

I was able to take the database from the old site, upload it through Cpanel on the hosting account backup screen, and have that database available to the component.

The install went well into my 1.5 site, and I configured the component with the user on my new (backed up) database.

This "old" database really was old. Mambo old. mos_ prefix old.

The import worked like a CHARM. I was so delighted, this saved me hours of direct database manipulation.

I need photo galleries that my end-users can use easily. I've tried them ALL for 1.0, literally, and have only found solutions that come close to what I want.

This gallery system is the closest yet. There is nothing added that you don't need, the interface is really easy to use and the output is clean and attractive out of the box.

I needed to put a map with several (ok, 30) different content items on a client's website. This extension made it fast and easy, PLUS I can teach the client how to do it for the future, because the syntax is easy to learn.

I think I see the problem with people who say "works great for backgrounds" conflicting with "I couldn't get it to work for backgrounds".

If I have an area that has a specific size (header) and the background image MATCHES that size and doesn't tile, it works. It will not repeat for me.

I felt my Ninjoomla membership was worth it just for the sIFR mambot... till it didn't work on the component pages.

This is the best sIFR solution for Joomla I've found... no modifications to the template files, so end-users can make changes if they'd like without knowing code.

I wouldn't do a custom template without it.

I've been using this module since it was posted here in the JED, and I am incredibly pleased. I wish it allowed flash files smaller than 500x500 ... you have to create them at 500x500 and they will *display* smaller, but anything smaller than 500x500 original file shows blank space for me.

Otherwise... super easy to use, and a beautiful effect.

I was going to do a little hacking to a directory component to give me the functionality that this extension has right out of the box.

Problem: create a directory of advertisers for a radio station, including a player for the radio ads as MP3s, preferably without the user having to download. Oh yeah and if we could do video ads that would be super awesome.

Solution: MusicBox... out of the box! The only little thing I did was change "artist" to "advertiser", "album" to "ad series" and "song" to "ad"... via english.php... and BAM! Front end and back end, totally fits my project.

I went to joomlaitalia.com to try to find a donation button! I couldn't find one, and I don't speak Italian... so if someone could let me know how I can support this project that would be great. Maybe I'll just send cookies...

This forum is not only the most attractive Joomla-specific forum solution, it is also the easiest forum I've ever set up! Instead of setting up tons of moderators, groups, categories, boards, etc... I was able to start my board with the stock configuration after just adding a few topics. I could have started an entire message board in under ten clicks!

I was skeptical about all of the good reviews so soon... couldn't figure out how you get 50 favorites after only being out 4 days. Then I installed this component and I see why! It has all the essential features (for me anyway) of Joomlaboard and SMF... without the extras I don't need to be bothered with.

This is something that I wish I could have made. I frequently want to search the forum for error codes and/or want to grab an extension I am looking for.

I just hate loading pages knowing I'm only loading it to search, when I can already search Amazon, Google and eBay from the corner of my browser.

Even the first version (which did not have a way to customize which games would be available and just had 5 classic arcade games) had my COMPETITORS playing games on my website and giving me traffic.

Now, with the customizable version I can provide games that are appropriate to the different sites I create.

It just keeps getting better!
