What a lovely poll, some real thought has been given to what people want but unfortunately it is full of bugs.

I am writing this review to hopefully get this developer to wake up to the potential he has or he is in danger of getting some bad reviews which in turn will affect his other components.

He needs to answer his forum posts, there are so many bugs present but very few of them get answered.

This is a really good product but annoying and I am so close to dropping it.

What a pleasure to find a component so well put together. I am quite an experienced user of Joomla and yet I could see any novice using this easily. The only dificulty would be template design, but they do offer a nice looking template to start with and if you use an editor then you can easily put together something functional.
Here's the but though.....Bounces....any reasonably sized mailing list will provide mail returns and it desperately needs somthing to manage them. I previously used PHPList and it is perfect for that, but I needed something integrated within Joomla. I know it was mentioned on your forums in Sept 2006. Please hurry it is needed.
Still an excellent component amd well worth it even with the bouns problem.

Do not use this if you wish to rename the directory from 'SOBI2' to something else e.g 'My Directory'. It won't work. ARTIO JoomSef works fine its just the plugin.
I have rated this 'Very Poor' because this is a commercial plugin and they won't even respond to the support ticket I raised.
They seem to just want your money and are not showing signs of being concerned. I didn't even get an acknowledgment to my support ticket. Steer well clear, unless you have the time to manually customize every link.
I hope ARTIO Support are reading this and will do something to rectify this major glich.

I thought I should write a little note to congratulate John at Ravenswood IT Services....had a problem with PHP5...and I think a lot of people who use virtual servers will also encounter this issue.

John was quick to respond, provided all information I needed to identify the problem which then allowed me to correct the problem and I haven't spent any money yet.

If you have open_basedir problems with UHP2 then make sure that it is set to allow /usr/share/pear access on virtual servers otherwise it won't work.

I am now happy that a strong product like this works on PHP5.

Yep it works fine, but it won't work with any editors, default setting has to be 'No WYSIWYG Editor'. No good for me...

Nice and simple to install and does exactly what it says it will. Excellent work. Nice web site design too.
