Fiji Tagbot
super easy to configure, but no support for MJFrontpage, October 2, 2006

Fiji Tagbot if you use MJFrontpage you will only be able to display tags as a horizontal list of words. I had to turn it off for that ItemID so the tags wouldn't show on the frontpage. The author tells me he's going to update it for sull support of MJFrontpage soon.
Very easy to install, and you can configure each bookmarking site's settings in a simple XML file.
I did find that some of the popups were the wrong size for the bookmarking site however.
Cheers, well done. :)

VERY easy, useful module!, September 30, 2006

super easy to install. I couldn't get the alignment working, but that might be an idiosyncracy of my javascript rather than the module.

It is in a foreign language, but rest assured it's easy to use.

I whacked in my javascript, published it (along with many copies which also worked) and I referenced the javascript incluide files in the template php file for easy of reference.

Many thanks!

Google Analytics
 Very tempramental, September 27, 2006

This works for me on one site, not at all on another and sometimes on another!
It puts the tracking code at the top of the page, but Google tells us it should go just before the tag. On the site I have this working on, I can see it in the source, and on the others it just doesn't appear at all - on one of them it started working randomly after a while, and has now disappeared again!
I think I'll put it into the template code instead of using this plugin as I don't trust it - shame, was SO EASY to install!
(And yes, I have put my tracking code in, AND published it!)

Great but not very dynamic!, September 22, 2006
0 of 1 people find this review helpful:

I was hoping this would pick up on search words from either the meta keywords of the article, or from the main text itself. Unfortunately it will only display eBay auctions according to the search terms you list in the module when you publish it - not very dynamic.
Works fine though, and apart from my extra requirement does what it says on the tin.
EASY to install, with tons of customisation options.

way too difficult, September 21, 2006

this was a complete brain-cramp to get working so I gave up and just pointed the background of the header in CSS to a rotate.php file instead - easy as pie!
Sorry, but you've obviously coded something cool here but unless it's easier to implement (remember we don't all use tables) then no-one will bother.

WikiBot
FANTASTIC - easy to use, September 21, 2006

WikiBot great tool here, recommended...
As other reviewers have mentioned a nice button would be appreciated to insert the [[ tags- often those of us who build the site are not those who then fill it with content, and those who do are often not very computer literate - the words "double square brackets" would make them cringe!

I'm using this on a new site, shown @ http://brain-damage.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=15&Itemid=29
I would be interested to know exactly how to link to a certain article though - at the moment, I create the wiki 'tag' and then apply, test the link, and adapt as appropriate - a bit laborious.
Great tool though, fantastic addition to Joomla. ****

Joomap
fantastic tool - got us right up google!, September 12, 2006

Joomap from 150th to 1st in google - thanks to this tool! FANTASTIC.
I am tempted however to just use the OpenSEF sitemap tools, but will try both on different sites and see hwo i go! Thank you.
Absolute breeze to setup, and it gives you the address of the google sitemap ready to submit!
The columns settings refer to IE only, and it shows several columns - one for each menu. Doesn't seem to work in FireFox though.

 Didn't work, September 12, 2006

Sorry mate, but I published this as standard to my left column, and it didn't work - clicking the button did nothing. Also, you cannot choose which default currencies show up.

Attend Events
Great, but US based, September 11, 2006
2 of 2 people find this review helpful:

the google maps link is USA .com by default so you have to play around to get it going to UK or other sites (perhaps putting just the post code will work, or "UK" in the postcode as well?

Exports CSV of registrations, and shows them if you want on your joomla site, but I can't find out how to keep some information submitted from showing - you don't want their phone number or other info showing for example, I only wanted Name and Company to show.

Very customisable confirmation and notification emails. WYSIWG standard session details means I can put pictures etc in the description which is great.

As soon as the payment system goes stable (please god let it be PayPal) I think we've got a winner here. In the meantime I'll experiment with manual PayPal carts etc in the items...
