both the free and commercial versions are junk.

cannot show these star ratings independently of the core ratings, ie, they both show at the same time!!...or they are both turned off. =(

star ratings do not show on frontpage for either version. free version only shows up on full content item! so useless.

don't waste your time on the free one nor your money on the commercial one.

this component should NOT be released as stable!

there are WAY too many bugs and the whole thing is completely insecure and vulnerable to hacking.

i'm having numerous issues in the backend....not able to edit elements-getting blank pages.
no validation expressions work-malicious script insertion vulnerability
no spam protection available-like an open invitation for cialis and porn site emails!

there's good potential here, but the devs really should take this off the shelves and finish working on it before releasing it to the public.

they also need to hire someone to give support here in the forums. they seem to be overwhelmed and not able to respond to support requests and forum posts in a timely fashion.

i'm really disappointed and resent purchasing my subscription to the site/component as i have not seen any return on my investment!

PLEASE seriously consider all these points before you think about using this component on a live site!!!

Author of this component is constantly improving upon his work using feedback from users....adding new features all the time and improving existing ones.

Alejandro is extrememly responsive to feedback and quick to reply to any bugs or issues.

He has worked hard to build this component in a modular fashion instead of the old school hulking beast approach! This makes it easy to manage and modify.

I've worked with him since XTDRatings to improve usability as well as separate styling from code/structure....i'm thrilled with his progress. Now its easier than ever for users to customize the look of the component, whereas other developers often don't take the extra time to create a stylesheet and all too often embed styles in code! This makes it all but impossible for the average user to customize the design and results in every Joomla site looking the same.

Alejandro has also done a great job with JReviews of being very forward-thinking....looking to future trends to try to be as forward-compatible as possible.

JReviews is a powerful and flexible Directory/Reviews component...I've even used it as a comment component because I liked it better than anything else out there!

Buy JReviews. Its totally worth the minimal investment!!
