Couloir Slideshow Gallery Ajax Module v1.0.3.2
Great looking result, July 30, 2007

Couloir Slideshow Gallery Ajax Module v1.0.3.2 ..and simple to install. I get the full functionality with Joomla 1.0.13 but the navigation buttons don't work in all Joomla templates.

This modules does not work at all on 1.5RC1 - even with the System Legacy component enabled. Although 1.5 comes with a similar "Random Image" module, it does not offer the same features as this Couloir.

Am I to understand that this module is not supported any more? That would be a shame...

CoderMCE
Easy to use with good-looking results, July 18, 2007

CoderMCE A slight pain to install because you have to modify your Joomla template to include a special CSS file. Can this be made better I wonder?

Number of languages are limited. The quick fix for me was to download GeShi and copy from there my desired language files into this bot's directory and update the bot's config.php file. Suggest including all GeShi language files and allow the user on installation to choose the languages that may be required - there are 86 languages in GeSHi to choose from, so you don't want a pull-down list every time you edit code.

With this in place, I think that we will have a killer Joomla bot.

 Nice suggestions, May 21, 2007

Works exactly as stated, and nothing more. This will make the component a real boon:
1. On unregistering, this component could (optionally) send a goodbye email.
2. The Admin should be able to edit the goodbye message to suit.
3. Users are also referenced in components such as Contacts, Letterman etc. It would be real nice if these references were removed un unregistering, too.
4. When passwords-save is enabled on browsers, the password field is filled with asterisks giving the false impression that the user does not need to enter a password.
