RokSlideshow
work nicely, just some minor observation, July 11, 2007

RokSlideshow as said in another review, images *must* have lowercase extension (image.jpg and *not* image.JPG).

otherwise they'll be ignored and if you have only uppercase extension images you'll obtain an error (mine were around row 111 and involved $sortAux variable, so if you experience the same you know what it is).

it would be nice to patch this because all digital camera I know write images with uppercase name and extension in their memory cards.

the other thing I'd like to be worked out is to display "vertical" images correctly: visualization is forced at some given wide & height pixels and images in different orientation are displayed distorted.

anyway, it work fine, it's easy to use and it has some really nice effects. for me it worked fine on ff2, ie7 and o921.

Joomla Cloud
was not able to test it nor find documentation, May 4, 2007

Joomla Cloud sorry, I don't want to get over the developer that seem to have done a good work, but I got tons of "Notice" errors (ok, now the fashion is that they are not errors but your fault because you do not edit php.ini), and I finally obtained a Fatal error: Undefined class name 'loggermanager' etc.. this seem to be an almost year long problem, as in the forum support there's an unresponded august 2006 question about it.

well, I know this will sound annoying and ungrateful, but I just can't spend days going after this: I am really sorry but I think I'll look somewhere else for a joomla tag cloud, or otherwise forget about tag cloud.

one last thing: the component submenu could be shortened a lot.

AJAX Header Rotator for flash-like image rotation!
very very good, but crash on ie7?, February 27, 2007

AJAX Header Rotator for flash-like image rotation! this extension and other from the same source worked for me really fine and installed like a breeze. I am just delighted with them.

anyway it seem they crash ie7, at last some previous version. any hint about this? I'd like to have reported this on a more suitable place, like a forum etc., but I did not find it.

anyway, the extensions work extremely well on firefox and ie6.

if only people could choose a decent browser...

FW Submenu
ok for multirows navigation menu, February 6, 2007

the fazct that submenus come "after" the end of the parent menu permit to use the component for a multirow navigation system. this would not be possible if submenus were nested right below the parent link.

it would be nice anyway to have the the possibility to choose nested-not nested but I understand it would be a mess.
