Brightcode Weblinks Component
great start for a great component, August 16, 2007
1 of 1 people find this review helpful:

Brightcode Weblinks Component We've needed a variation on the weblinks com for some time; this is a good try, with a little work 2.0 could be amazing.

Couple of minor nuisances that could be dealt with pretty easily:

1) provide a css for the component so it can be stand-alone across templates, and
2) provide an option to not show empty categories

Moo FAQ
Great idea, but..., July 23, 2007

Moo FAQ It's certainly a very slick UI, but the structure of the Q&A itself is fatally flawed. Why only 15 questions, and why do they have to be hard-coded in the back-end? Why not instead use Joomla's inherent structure of dynamic content and then use the intro-text + main body for the question and answer? That way you could also allow front-end access.

As it is, the module is way too limited to serve any useful function on most of the sites on which I'd have liked to implement it. Really too bad.

Content Item Module
very useful, but a couple of issues, October 11, 2006

Content Item Module Very effective little widget, but it may screw up some mambot content (e.g. doesn't seem to play nice with multithumbs). Also would be nice if it could be set to check for homepage publication of content items (i.e. mimmick com_frontpage more closely, but in a user-defined location).

Multithumb
 excellent, October 5, 2006

Multithumb Been using this for a few months now, and it really is a great 'bot. Takes a bit of getting used to, but the effect it has on images on your site is *so* worth it.
