By using Google Analytics Bridge there's no need any more to put the Google Analytics JS anywhere, because Google Analytics Bridge does it automatically.
Adding Google Analytics Bridge (by Holyfields Studios) does not require any additional programming or so else. Once Google Analytics Bridge plug-in is installed you have only to define plug-in parameter "Tracking ID", set plug-in state to published and Google Analytics starts collect your site statistics.
Please note: Google Analytics Bridge requires at least Joomla 1.0.8 and PHP5. PHP4 is not supoorted! The PHP Group has made the PHP 4 end of life announcement too! Please use your energy to make your site to suitable to run on PHP 5.
