JoomSuite Permission
JoomSuite Permission Joomla 1.5 native, and do not work on Joomla 1.0 JoomSuite Permission is something like ACL but more simple. It is URL based protection. Because it is URL based it is quite secure and known as world proven method but not so powerfully like true ACL. Eventually it happens that you need to restrict access to components for some groups of users or even particular user. But Joomla core doesn’t allow doing that. So JoomSuite Permission is one of solution for you. You can arrange access to any action and task of any component for single users and groups of users. Protection rules were built for components on the base of simple XML file. So you can easily add new rules or delete existent ones. Also you can create a XML for a new component. In that file you can easily define component actions and name them as you wish. You can group those action for easier management later. To add ability to manage new component, everything that needed is just to write an appropriate XML file. And install it in JoomSuite Permission. Integration with JoomSuite User allows you to set permission up to every separate user or to a set of users. This component is experimental and we need your testing. It is free to download. Please, read installation instruction in FAQ http://joomsuite.com/index.php?option=com_resource&view=list&category_id=29&Itemid=7#flag41
