Very simply, when I was looking for an easy and quick way to add playable mp3 links to a client’s music store in Joomla, I couldn’t find one! I figured there would HAVE to be an easy Wimpy plugin in Joomla that would do it, and when I didn’t find one, I thought I should whip one up! Installation * Download the Plugin * Install the plugin using the Mambot Install in Joomla * Download the latest version of Wimpy Button. If you haven’t used Wimpy before, download the Trial version and use it to test and configure the player. Then, buy a license! Last I checked, it was less than $20. * Extract and upload the Wimpy Button to your server * Activate and Configure the Plugin From the Admin menu, chooseMambots &rquo; Site Mambots &rquo; wimpybutton, then configure the plugin parameter “Player File Location” to point to the location of the Wimpy Button you just uploaded. Publish the Plugin and save. You can also modify the styles to match your site. * Place the Plugin code around your mp3 url, and you’re done! {wimpybutton}/music/Radiohead/06 Faust Arp.MP3{/wimpybutton} Let me know what you think, if you all like it, I’ll keep working on it and perhaps make another.
