QTube is a simple plugin designed to perform a very simple task: embedding YouTube hosted videos in a Joomla! content item. I'm aware that there are plugins that allow you to include videos from many other sources, but when all the videos you need are hosted at YouTube you can take advantage of QTube's small footprint. The plugin supports some parameters to allow you to configure the look and feel of the video container object. Default values for all these parameters can be set from plugin administration area. Let's say you want the same width and height for all the videos on your site; specify these parameters once and for all in the plugin backend and you won't need to include them in any plugin command string. Finally the pages containing your videos can be valid XHTML Transitional because the HTML code generated by QTube doesn't contain the EMBED tag unlike the code provided at YouTube site (at least the last time I checked). A QTube module is also available if you need to insert a video in a module position of your template.
