The MooTools library loads by default in Joomla! 1.5. This can viewed as too excessive at 180kb, especially when it may not be needed for some of the pages, or in some cases not needed for the site as a whole. This plugin allows you to remove the MooTools from the front-end of the site when it is not needed, leaving it in place for the back-end where it is used. A smaller compressed version of MooTools is included, which can be set to load instead, in place of the version supplied with Joomla! On the MooTools site download page, you are able to download versions of MooTools with only the elements specifically needed. With the use of the advanced parameters, this plugin also allows you to specify different versions to be loaded, either by the Page Action, or by the User Group. So the scripts are loaded only when needed. With the plugin you can: • Stop MooTools library loading at the front-end. • Stop Caption library loading at the front-end. • Specify an alternative script to load instead of the default MooTools supplied by Joomla! 1.5 • Specify different libraries to load for different user types (groups). • Specify different libraries to load for different page actions.
