Functionality
I miss syncing with Joomla user groups - you can add, but changes are not updated in Joomla.
The CMC only syncs it's own list with Mailchimp
Ease of use
Too few options, i.e. you cannot do anything advanced - so "easy", but useful?
Support
Very limited and very slow support. I would prefer to pay a little for timely support.
Documentation
Absolutely minimum in order to get things working. The important webhook and Auth-setup is very nice.
I used this to: Syncing with MailChimp, as my webhost does not allow for newsletter emails for more than 50 users.

Outdated and no GDPR support

Functionality
I gave CMC a try, but am strongly disappointed. While API setup was easy and smooth I realized that the subscription module is a disaster.
Ease of use
Not usable at all. Like said deinstallation was not working properly.

Documentation
I used this to: Nothing. I had to deinstall it manually because normal deinstallation was NOT possible. That took me about an hour. I strongly advise not to install it, until these serious issues get fixed.
Owner's reply: Sorry to hear that the extension doesn't work to your satisfaction. I just tested myself on a clean joomla 3.9.24 instance and both installation and deinstallation worked fine. Not sure what wrong on your end, but must be a combination of the extensions you have on your site.

Functionality
Does what it says, but there is no security, so your Mailchimp list gets full of ficticious subscribers
Ease of use
Pretty easy once you work out the Mialchiomp API and Form Builder
Support
Appalling! Tried to raise a ticket and even the submit button wouldn't work!
Documentation
Reasonable. You need to know your way around Mailchimp and the only documentation I fouynd was a 30 minute YouTube webcam
I used this to: Filling my Mailchimp list with spoof contacts!!!!!!!!!. It seems to work by sending the info to Mailchimp, but does not discriminate
Owner's reply: Normally mailchimp uses double opt-in. So even though our module doesn't offer captcha - you shouldn't get any non-confirmed mails.

Functionality
Set up seemed to work - the list and existing users were populated to the extension in Joomla and the CB plugin seemed to work
Ease of use
A little quirky in the interface - not very polished in appearance, but I think I was able to figure it out.
Support
Support was non-responsive. It's a free extension, and no support is provided, but I did not even see a way to BUY help.
Documentation
Documentation seemed clear but did not answer some questions I had. Submitted to support but no answer after two weeks.
I used this to: Adding new website registrations through Community Builder to a mailing list in Mailchimp.

Does what is says on the tin. Not sure about the default for double opt in, when not using it!

Functionality
As others stated, it used to work but has had many issues for a while. ie. generating front-end error messages
Ease of use
Ease of use is Irrelevant if it it's "broken"
Support
As others have noted and judging from the forum log/dates... dismal support. Beware, JED's version is not same version as on dev's site

I used this to: I was using it to collect MC addresses. I will be removing it. It's a shame, for years it was a wonderful extension. Maybe the dev will resurrect it, along with it's support.
Owner's reply: Can you go on our forum and post your issues? We are using the extension on our own site and it works... And it works with an empty joomla installation, so if it doesn't work for you it must be a misconfiguration or a conflict with another extension.

Functionality
Hit and miss. Fails to sync with MailChimp unless the gods are smiling on you. If you can't setup sync, you can't use anything else.
Ease of use
Easy to use, if it works. Which it doesn't most of the time.
Support
Hasn't been updated for a year. Zero response via the developer's forum-only support system.
Documentation
Documentation clear, but not much use when nothing works.
I used this to: Nothing. Not through choice, but being forced to change product due to extension not working and failing to get any support. Product also not GDPR compliant. As this free product integrates into the devs other paid extensions, I would be happy to pay for CMC if the dev responded.

Warning - developer uses this for free hits to site but does not update or answer support questions!

Functionality
Used to work, no longer does. Users try to join Mailchimp newsletter, but receive no error or confirmation. Not updated enough
Ease of use
Relatively easy to use, when it works! Could not sync any fields other than email (eg. first name etc) into MailChimp.
Support
No support given whatsoever. It is free but as mentioned, the Dev gets free hits from to promote other products. Have posted 2x, no response
Documentation
Ok
I used this to: Nothing anymore. Use competing paid products, at least they'll give some support. Try RSForm or other
