jkefel

* panel (tab or slider) persistence, i.e. coming back to the same page would render with the most recently active panel as open
* direct addressing of panels from external pages
* ajax loading of panels content and are either refreshed every time the panel is visited or is fetched once only
* load specific modules (addressed by their ids) into a panel position
* recursively inclusion of panels in panels
* while loading external content you will be able to choose how to place fetched content: by prepending, appending or replacing to existing content
* and of course, you can place as many tabs and/or sliders as you want on the same page and with varying UI:s (i.e. sliders or tabs) and also with varying options
* all features are controlled globally from the plugin parameter setting and individual tabs are modified through their own options
* reuses Joomla! backend styles which can be easily modified by accessing the included css file.
Please refer to the documentation page for updates as I continuously update the features. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have ideas on how to enhance or improve.
ex.
{jkefel kefelui=[tabs] title=[jproven demo page] url=[jproven.com/index.php?tmpl=raw] refresh=[true] persist=[false]}
{/jkefel}
{jkefel title=[Title 2]}
Content of second tab
{/jkefel}
{jkefel title=[Module] mod=[65] pos=[replace]}
Content of third tab but this is going to be replaced by the module with id 65. If you wanted to append or prepend the content from module change pos to append or prepend resp.
{/jkefelend}
With little CSS knowledge everybody is able to modify the style.
For me it works just flawless. It has a very good perfomance and I had no conflict with other extension so far.
Despite it is an free extension the author provides an excellent and very fast support.
Thank you very much!
It's hard to find a real good extension, easy to use and free, well this is one of them!!! And on top of that AWESOME support!!! I emailed the developer and had a response in less than an hour, he took the time to check the issue that I had and worked on it with me until he discovered the cause.
No complains at all. Just a big THANK YOU for the extension and keep on the development!
Another good thing is this extention utilizes Joomla own tabs/slides engine - this causes a better site performance.
The steps to use jkefel are as many as for any other plugin/module. Other users tell me the primary reason they use jkefel for is the ease of use and that it is light weight. You just need to use the jkefel tags to markup start and end of your tabs/slides, and there in between place your content.
Really? No documentation, have you looked at the site? Well if you don't want to contact me it is your issue, right? Some people like to write and ask me and along the way express there gratitude, and I do reply even if it might take up to 48 hours.
Finally I am sure the site crash was not due to jkefel, but hey we all have bad days so...
I admit that I haven't developed the feature set of jkefel as much as I should and want only due to lack of time, but I am gradually working on a much improved version, and dear users please do keep the improvement ideas coming...
Moreover, although it's not yet labeled as being compatible with Joomla 1.7, it seems to work fine in my 1.7 site.
Only a note that in xampp environment:
if the fetched html file is addressed with http://YourSite.com/, then user who will access the page trough http://www.YourSite.com will can not see the file content. Just use relative path (works OK), or maybe a IP address (works too).
And if there any issues i don't have to worry email them once and they keep emails me with updates on the situation until a fix is solved.
And that does not take more that a day.
Keep it up.
Support for the plugin is great, i had a problem with nested tabs inside the custom html module, asked for support and got my problem solved right away :)
thx and keep up the good work.
As many who have chosen to contact me has discovered I do try my best to assist users, not only on extensions I have developed but all things related to Joomla!
I do understand that plugins can be intimidating and difficult pieces to deal with for Joomla! beginners, but much more than that is really not required to use jkefel.
Don't hesitate to contact me and I will try to help you get started on using plugins such as jkefel.
