This is the first extension I install in a new site, and I cannot imagine what it would be like to run Joomla without it.

Just installed it and running it. It saves a whole lot of time. The must have component for multilingual websites

Really an excellent component.
I started a translation of joomla in my language and this saves a lot of time and helps following the official norms.

This is a very handy tool for translating language files of Joomla! core, components, modules, plugins and templates.

The translation progress is clearly shown for each file. Strings not translated yet are color coded so that you can easily locate them. Extra strings are collected for you to review and maybe delete.

Once you are done with translation, with one button click a language installation file is created for you to deploy.

Highly recommended for any one needs to do language file translations.

I used to do my translation job with text editors, such as EmEditor or Notepad++. But sometimes, the author of some Joomla extensions will alter the order of language strings in the ini file. This makes it very difficult to update my translation because I have to adjust the order first otherwise I can't find out what is what.

This great tool ended such pains.

I don't need to worry about the order, just translate the file and then save the change.

BTW, I would like to suggest the author to add two features:

1. Hide translated strings option;
2. Download link beside the file name on the list;

I just was thinking about creating a translation option for my own component. But as I discovered this marvelous Translations Manager, all thoughts about my own solution just vanished in a puff of logic. Great work. Thanks a lot.

This takes the grief out of translating the language files away... I HATE doing that, even though I don't mind the translating part as such, just fumbling around the code highlighting and replacing parts here and there is SO ANNOYING. This is exactly what I was after. Thank you!

Great extension, very useful.

Very good component. Very easy to use.

This package is great for managing front end and backend languajes.

It is nice if you want to change "read more..." for "gimme more..." in the whole frontend

WATCHOUT: it does not manage content nor switch frontend languajes on the fly.

If you are serious about translating J!1.5.x you must have this component. Translation with this tool is incredible easy and its autosave feature is a welcome addition. It realy should be in on the shelf of every serious Joomla! user/ranslator.

What a gem. We were about to write one of these for ourselves when we stumbled upon it. There are minor--repeat *minor*--bugs that don't impact the running of the script. We're going to offer our help on fixing them. The developer should be commended for a great job on a *critical* extension to the Joomla core. Bravo.

I just started using the Translation Manager & got up-to-date on all my files. Noticed that it prompts for saves regularly; I can add customized strings, mark the file as 'completed' even if some of the strings translate word for word 'RSS=RSS'; etc.
What is the killer feature? All I have to do is install the latest build, and it shows all the new strings marked in red! I hate to admit it, but I was checking for the latest file changes in development/trunk instead of development/releases (oh, the shame).

Looking into modifying the plugin to export and import language file entries in XML format which can be easily imported into Machine Aided Human Translation(MAHT)systems for more efficient translation.

Makes discovering the vast array of language files in Joomla! 1.5 possible; Prompts regularly for operation saves so work is not lost; Presents the translatable entries in a way that you can easily transverse and modify language entries.

Great job, works just fine to solve problems of translation. I recommend it at all. Must have this istalled on your Joomla.
