MisterEstate 
- This extension requires registration to download.
I think the mister estate site (forum) has been down now for 4-5 months? I only get this if I try any of the links:

The biggest bugs I have with this piece of software:
- Gallery is too slow.. it takes ages to open (all photos under 40k)
- I cant use any vertical pics.. all the thumbnails created looks terrible (vertical). Horizontal pics are fine.
- Google maps. I would need to get it work with coordinates (google maps does not find any address in my country).
besides those only some small problems that I can fix myself.
But most importantly is there any more development & support coming? If not I will start with a new site (handmade or look other components first).
Hi Ozz1, thank you very much for your feedback. We have set up a new project website with a new forum software and released a new MisterEstate version. Also the support has been lifted up and we guarantee now, that all questions will be answered within 24h (except on weekends). Best regards.
The way I see it, if you advertise a component as "non-commercial" but the only way to clean up the code so it looks professional is by sending a "donation" to the creator, then this is just as commercial as the extensions that say they are commercial.
I'd have to say you'd be better off looking at the commercial real estate extensions before going through the trouble of trying to fix a component that would make your site look silly.
Of course, if the author would like to explain how to edit the english.php file then I could give this a better rating.
I had customized to work for bilingual "Al Quran" and It is working perfectly without any problem.
[The only thing i am wedged is to show the "seach box" at index page, where all the entries are listed. I was looking for help at developers forum but no use]
ME is a FREE and stable real estate component and people who designed it and decided to distribute it as an open source deserve every praise! It's easy to install, there are no major glitches and it just works. Thank you guys and don't let some irrational negative comments upset you. You've done a great job!

Not sure, but after reading your review I´m asking myself, how it´s possible, that the live site section over there on MisterEstate.com contains actually over 180 sites which were build with MisterEstate?! Would be impossible, if it were true, that MisterEstate doesn´t work at all.
MisterEstate is based on the over 2 year old EstateAgent komponent and surely, there´s a lot what could be better. But do you know a perfect software?
As I wrote above, customizing presupposes one is familiar with the basics of webdevelopment. If you´re not able to customize it, you shouldn´t make the component responsible. It´s 100% opensource!

The reason for your problems must lie in a very special server configuration. MisterEstaet was tested with PHP5.x/mxSQL5.x and a lot of our users are running it on servers with PHP5.x and/or mySQL5.x, without any trouble.
It is easy to use and all the things works well.
I'm glad that I choose this extension!
The only problem I have is that in Explorer it will not scroll in my template but in Opera, Mozilla etc it works well. But in Explorer it overlaps my template but it doesn't matter.
I first tried out EA to make a real-estate website to show properties; however because of the above I cannot use it. It is one of the extensions that does not rely on the mosPathway from Joomla, hence implements EA's own and sets Joomla's out of function.
Worst of all; there is no support from programmer or others using the extension, so if you know little about the extension, you cannot get started without reading the entire code through - and then you might as well write it yourself.
I would only recommend this extension if you have very little use for specific functionality and layout; and can live with faulty software.

customizing the output or the whole component is a question of knowledge. If you´re familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML, PHP, mySQL and of course Joomla - customizing is no big problem. Take a look at the live sites section. A lot of users has successfull customized MisterEstate for their needs.
Yes, it´s true, that I´m not always at the forum, because I have to do commercial jobs to be able to offer MisterEstate for free. Think about! ;-)
But it´s not true, that there´s absolute no support. On the project´s website you can find a forum with more than 1000(!) topics in relation to MisterEstate. So how can you say, there´s "no support"?
