I can not get this to work I have emailed support twice with no reply :(

No matter what size I make the zoom images they display blurry. I tried changing to png to see if they would be clearer but the batch add pages will not upload the images when saved as png.

Here I see comments saying how good the support is - I am getting no replies?

Love the component - but can find no assistance :-(

Not only is this a great component; Support by the developer is over-the-top excellent! Absolutely worth the purchase price. Out of the box, the component works exactly as it's supposed to. The kicker is, when I made a feature request, it was delivered in less than an hour. I was hoping for something in the next release!

This module is a must have !

And the support, also perfect ! I had a little problem with the link to the book, I sent an e-mail a saturday afternoon. Anton answered and solved my problem less than 1 hour after my request.

First of all - thank's to Joomla
I've been thinking of WordPress. But I couldn't find such possibilities as registration and photos presentation in WP.

Second - fast and furios :) support of FlippingBook Joomla Gallery. That guys got asnwers of all my stuped questions.

Firstly, this component does what it says. The product downloaded and installed correctly using the normal Joomla installation procedure.

Secondly, the support - absolutely amazing. Let me say that again, the support is absolutely amazing. And just in case you didn't understand my point. The support is brilliant. Anton, responded in less than 24 hours and sometimes within hours to each of my emails. (I must have sent more than 10 emails) What was noticeable was that the quick response time was consistent during weekdays, weekends, at various times of the day, pre-purchase and after I purchased the product. So I can only conclude that Anton prides himself on his high level of support. One bug that was discovered was fixed within the day and a new version posted for all to use immediately.

After some time playing with the product, I switched back to the previous version 1.5.5 so that I could get the zoom to appear in a lightbox, the latest version 1.5.6 changes the approach for the zoomed image to be compatible with some templates.

This product is highly recommended and well worth the investment.

Things I would like to see included in the future:
- Auto generation of a linkable table of contents / index
- Zoom option to allow for the zoom lightbox
- Update documentation / FAQ to show how to create a flash file to flip between (link) between pages. Although, Anton shared this with me through an email.
- The ability to create a pull down menu (go to page number) based on the options you specify. Ie Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter3, etc. instead of page 1, page 2, page 3, etc.
- Ability to add a watermark over pages.
- Installing a new version (upgrading) over the previous version without deleting the data files. Ie Today, you must manually upgrade the files in order to keep your data files (ie. books and pages)

In summary - you cannot go wrong with this product.

Very useful extension. But I noticed a problem in latest version. That is when moving the cursor to edge of the book to turn the page, the corner of the page does not flips.

The component is very easy to be installed and keep working. Administration is quite slow due to very basic management tools and functions. Swf pages are not well resized if heavier that 100 kb. The component doesn't work if Piclens plugins are installed.

I highly recommend this extension. Besides, the commercial version has a very reasonable license fee. The support is well-organized, using an easy-to-manage Helpdesk and they promptly respond to every question, offering a huge amount of help and knowledge. My problems were identified and solved within minutes.

The layout of the Book is well-chosen and it is easy to manage within the BE.

I had a little problem and within 40 minutes, there was an answer with code which I could paste. It worked fine!
Long time ago that a company was so helpful for me!

I can only speak for myself when I say no matter how great the tool, if you cannot get the answer to a question, it usually isn't worth the hassle. No problems here. Not only was the install and deployment painless, but the follow up to my support question was answered within 30 minutes of the initial email on a Saturday afternoon! It was more of a Joomla rookie question, but thats what good companies do -provide as much support as they can. Keep up the good work.

We lose paid version that we paid before.
I personaly send mail that say "if you can please resend us ..."
I got a answer in 5 minute with component in attachment.

This component does most of what I was looking for...but has a couple of limitations that will soon be a major problem for me, and in fact I doubt I will be able to use it. I have hundreds of "books"(actually documentation files), which all have multiple pages.

Problem 1: Pages have to be uploaded and stored in a flat directory, and the interface uses a single drop down menu to select from these pages....a 5000 item drop down menu? The author mentions in a response to a request for multiple file folders that you could use explorer or the built-in media manager...which is true you could create and store in multi-folders with those tools(I tried), but the interface for adding books gives no way to select images from these folders.

Problem 2: Printing prints the complete control, not the pages. When clicking on print it should give you the ability to select which pages from the book you want to print and print only those pages at full resolution. A nice option would be able to have a hi-res image associated that could be optionally used for printing.

Suggestion: It would be nice to be able to have a one click PDF creation and download of the book. I'm going to look into a workaround for this through the existing link URL.

A very nice product with excellent potential, but I think the above limitations must be solved before this tool is completely usable.

It's not very often that you can say to your clients that you have a product made by a young company that is exciting, vibrant and innovative. Well that is what "Flipping Book" is.. it's easy to understand, easy to add images.. and its just fantastic.

Works fine, page upload and managing very easy, unfortunately it's not possible to integrate a weblink into a site, without displaying the navigator it's not possible to have links then... :(

It isn't an ordinary gallery...and the person I've contacted to advise that maybe there was some small problem with the RC4 J! immediately upgraded the software and advised me about it.

This component is mis-behaving. The component tools works but not using the icons, and I cannot delete files using page manager. My test book will not work - all .jpg files. I put in more than 6, but now cannot delete the extra pages!

I really liked the software and it works fine with the homepage. It elevates my homepage's ambience.
However I wish there were "Forward to A Friend" function. I couldn't even enable Joomla's default share function.
Does anybody know how to do this?
