Their site is unnecessarily confusing. Be very careful you download the correct version (Joomla 1.0 vs Joomla 1.5), as they will NOT refund your money if you download the wrong one.

Also, the joomla 1.5 version is a headache. After an hour of trying to figure out why it would not install, I find ANOTHER module needs to be installed first - just for licensing. Then the whole needed ion install was the deal breaker.

The tools are fine and useful as advertised, but is there really no way to provide the product without requiring the installation of ioncube and all it's potential complications? So much unnecessary time wasted.

Can only say good about this plugin. This should really be a core Joomla plugin. You simply need more info about your users than name and email.
Also integrates with JContent Subscription which was very important for me.
Support is great, company is reliable. Have been liaising with Joomlaequipment for ~6 month regarding other great products too.
Price is friendly.

I run a soccer club and wanted an application to allow me to gather additional information about my players to perform reporting on the different age groups, female/males. I also wanted a customized form for my new member to be able to fill which is inline with my club logo. JUSER did it all.

The best thing about it is the support. The guys helped me with every question and did so in a very happy manner.

I installed JUser and JContentSubscription and also FireBoard forum, so it was a tricky user/content situation but JUser and JCS handled it.

The reason I'm writing this review because I cannot ever remember getting such quick and helpful support.

Does exactly what it says -- no muss, no fuss. Works intuitively and seems to play nicely with everything else I have installed. Very flexible in terms of fields you can add.

ALMOST NEVER pay for extensions.. But this is one worth paying for.. Very professional and virtually fool-proof as far as ease of use.. Thanks guys.. I'm now forcing registration where before it wasn't worth it to only collect an email address. Now I'm in control of any info I want to collect.. sweet!

I installed the component without issue. I wanted a custom registration form on my homepage and Sergey helped within 24 hours. It does exactly what I wanted without a ton of extra stuff I didn't need. Well worth the price. Excellent component.

I don't write reviews much unless I am very happy about the product. In this case I needed a very quick fix to meet deadlines. Scanned through all options and ended up purchasing JUser. I am always reluctant about paying for something without installing in my environment and testing out first (there is a an online demo). I saw the note about time to purchase. They have a couple options for payment. I used Paypal, make sure you click go back to merchant at end of purchase, and I had the software within 15 minutes.

I have used some other very popular form management tools. One of the problems I have run into is with clients who want to add fields to, or change, user profile information. The form tool I had been using cannot be modified after you have built it (so they say). If you want to add something to the profile, say a date a new terms of service was accepted, "start your coding"! When I buy an extension, I do so not with the expectation of having to write a bunch of code to make their product work. So Juser was a lifesaver for my purposes. Simple to install (do read the instructions) and dynamic. If I want to add a new field to registration or the user profile, no prob. Also it is tied into newsletters, and can select multiple ways to display Terms Of Service. Can display items during registration that are not shown when editing profile later. It has some pretty fancy graphics for reporting as well as excel stats download on registration activity. Long list of features.

I had a couple questions about the product. I was able to IM one of the developers and made contact in about 5 minutes. Answered all my questions. Now I'm not suggesting they will IM with everyone who has a question. Maybe I just got lucky, who knows. But I will say of all he vendors I have been in contact with, these guys were the most responsive and helpful.

But! It isn't all roses! I do see one thing that I miss. I cannot find a way to change the layout of the fields in the user registration / profile page (could just be me). You can change the order they are in, but they are all in a single column. From the posted date, I believe Juser has been available for a very short time. In speaking with them, improvements and added functionality are coming.

With all that said.... Well Done!

I've tried all the others and even used community builder just to add fields and get more information on registration! This made it quick and easy. A talented developer. My only complaint is that it took a couple days to actually get the component. Just a note at order time to say the download was not immediate would have been fine. Keep up the good work!
