This plugin REQUIRES SMO AJAX Shoutbox and Community Builder to be installed.
New version is in the works for new CB version
Mambot now available for non CB sites

Currently SMF bridge login/logout does not work with plugin, if you want this you must allow me to see a copy of smf code and i will create a hack for it.

Now you can use Shoutbox Announcer and not need to have CB installed.
Lots less options and announcements.
Announce Login and Logout in shoutbox with this mambot
Simply install the mambot and publish. Ensure smo or risp's ajax shoutbox is installed FIRST or you will get Db errors and not be able to log in

Few modules are really good stuff on Joomla. Steve-o-meters announcers are one of these few. If you need to do sth. for your community - well this is what it needs!
Also Steve is very helpful, he can give you great support for differnt configurations, since he is a real codegeek!

Agreed very helpful developer help me add a hack that allows FIREBOARD posts to be announced !!!!!! What a great plugin. Easy to implement and its excellent at encouraging people to use the shoutbox.
Great for knowing when someone has logged on without needing to reload a page.
When the scores from puarcade is implemented in the next version this is gonna rock! Games are a large part of the community buz on my site and having scores announced will be a great way of increasing the competitiveness.
I can imagine contless possibilities for this plugin in the future.

Everything works fine, it was so easy to install och it works very smooth.
The problem I have is that it does not show anything when people are logging in. (Logging out is showing)
I have Community Builder 1.02 and Joomla 1.0.11

please post bug reposrts in the steve-o-meter.com forums. the extentions directory is not the place to report bugs.
This plugin works very well, however the login and logout notification did not work for my website because of the SMF JoomlaHacks version bridge I am using. Steve-o came on my website and personally helped me troubleshoot this!

Im close to providing a hack for the smf core hack that will trigger the cb events. This will be made public via joomlapolis & steve-o-meter forums
