This was easy to install and use. It produces an attractive, professional output. However, we read online that the included captcha was fairly easy to hack. We use Recaptcha usually but found that the plugin only worked for the Pro version. We need the extra layer of security so unfortunately lack of Recaptcha capability in the free version is a deal breaker.

There's nothing better than this in Joomla! extension library for forms. Absolutely marvelous!!!

For the first time I review an extension. But it could not fail to mention this excellent product. It is simply wonderful. I did some tests with other manufacturers forms but this exceeded my expectations. Easy to use, simple to use and very efficient. Actually the team is to be congratulated. This form component was very easy to install and setup. I had a form completed and live with Recaptch within about 30 minutes. Thank you!

This free extension provides a simple way to add forms to your site. Just be sure to take the time to read through the on-line User Manual on their website before you get stuck in. It will be 30 minutes well-spent.

I wanted to be able to get some information back from website visitors, send the submission to one or more email addresses and display a thank you message. This extension lets me do all that and also lets me customise the thank you with data supplied by the submitter and various global items like site name. It also stores the submissions for export as a csv spreadsheet and provides backup/restore facilities which I have used to move forms in the blink of an eye between servers.

Some things to be aware of:

1. Default form layout is basic but if you have some knowledge of HTML/CSS you'll be able to get a nice result.

2. No recapture protection against the dreaded spambots.

3. This free version only works on Joomla 1.5.x and will not be updated for later versions (so I'm told when I asked the question). Given that Joomla 1.5.x hits end-of-life in April 2012 it will be necessary to update to the Pro! version before that date which will cost money. I'm told that a tool is available to convert free version forms for use with the Pro! version.

If you're still running a Joomla 1.5.x site and want a simple form facility I reckon there's no point looking any further!

I received excellent support in solving some CSS problems. The solutions are pretty straight forward for experienced CSS coders - but I am not and they helped me out anyway. So thumbs up for that!

As i install the rsform i find it a good one, easy to install but one problem i encounter when i install the com_forme_sh404sef1.5. here's the error "Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package." is there any solution for this?

The best form extension available on the free market! Blows the competition away and plenty of addition mods and plugins!

It’s really complex and convenient form generator. The only requirement is the basic HTML knowledge.
The forms you create with this components are just awesome, plus you have the ability to change the code presentation: it comes originally in tabled layout, which you can easy change to DIV’s or what ever you want to see and edit.
I also want to mention cool ability to change the received letter presentation, which seems to me very handy.

This is hands-down the easiest full-featured form extension yet. installation was a breeze, very intuitive interface. form creation was very easy and provided very useful coding examples (within the fielf creation page) for modifying the form anyway you want.

These guys have thought of everything. I would recommend in future updates, a feature to integrate username data with joomla user login.

Not only does this extension is simply outdated, it is also very user unfriendly.
Read the reasons for my vote:
1. Very user unfriendly
2. Information overload in the admin area
3. Takes long training time
4. I created a simple form just for fun to see how long it takes and it took almost 45 minutes.

I was most unhappy to find that this form system is effectively useless. I downloaded and installed this extension flawlessly, and was happy - usually this is where problems lie! But upon installing it, I found that it looks VERY pretty, and does NOTHING.
The directions available via the forum they tout are misdirections, telling you how "easy" it is to do something by just clicking on "this" button - but "this" button doesn't exist, and your "easy" form is now requiring days of time to get something simple done - like "Name", "Email", "Comments", "Submit".
Disappointed and off to find a WORKING system.
