This version should fix the error "Fatal error: Call to a member function reorder() on a non-object in /home/domain/public_html/installation_root/administrator/components/com_masscontent/models/articles.php on line 296"
**Description**
This extension will allow you to:
- create multiple pages(static and non static) with only titles
- add these pages to a section and a category
- link the created pages to a menu (n/a for joomla >1.6 yet)
- add some intro text
- edit some parameters (published, access level..)
- create multiple sections and categories with a similar way (n/a for joomla >1.6 yet)
- delete content, categories and sections (n/a for joomla >1.6 yet)
Only a couple of clicks are needed!
Hope you will save time when you begin a new Joomla project :)

I'm using joomla 1.7 fresh installation. This plugin is my second install after K2. But I haven't access my K2 before this Review.
I tried to created mass category using this plugin.
• I have checked "Copy Title to Alias" option
• choose a parent category
But when I browse the category page, their alias are left blank. I have to open and save it one by one from there.
Anyway, the menu are created well.

Are you sure you have downloaded the right version of masscontent? There is no mass category yet for Joomla 1.6/1.7
You should get masscontent v1.7.2b

Another excellent component that should be included in the joomla core. Fantastic, easy to use, robust.
The only thing is I suffered the dreaded ID-10-T error and was only able to put a max 3 articles; I realized that I was using the same article alias thus, doubled entries were not used, even if their titles were slightly different lol
Either way, great way to quickly get content online, either lorem ipsum or just multiple articles at once.

I set up default Joomla! install, used masscontent to create Sections and Categories, and linked them to the menu. Next I opened K2 control panel and imported all Joomla! content. Then I switched the menu types to K2 menus and got nothing from the frontend but 404 errors. Deleted all menu items, created K2 menus from scratch, and worked fine! Great time saving extension to use with K2 but don't use it to link to menus from masscontent.
Amazing time saver - thanks for sharing this app. An"Apply " button next to the "Save" to enable users to mass replicate the same categories across sections without having re-input them after each submit -- or alternatively check box matrix for sections in the mass category submitter -- would be great in a future versions.

I had used this extension last year for another site and knew how great it was and could not for the life of me remember what called it was or find it anywhere on my local drive.
Having downloaded it i am now one very happy person as i have about 500 sections and catagories to put onto a new site and this will save me so much time.
Now if i can just find an extension that will enable me to put subcatgories into the core I will be super happy!!

I'm working on a review type website. The website has over 50 categories that I had to create. Doing that one-by-one via the standard method would have taken me quitea while. With this component I done it in about five minutes or less. I just typed in the title and clicked the checkbox to "Copy title to alias" and click the "Save" button.

It's a fantastic component to them who wants gain time editing lots of articles simultaneously! It divides an article in four parts: (1) Title, (2) Alias (optionally autofilled!), (3) Intro text and (4) Full text. The diference between (3) and (4) is that the first one comes before the "Read More", and the last one comes after the "Read More". The "Read More" properly said, is inserted automatically by the Plugin. Easy, intuitive and charmful!
This program saves one of the most important and precious commodities in life, "TIME". Before I was entering data constantly through Joomla's regular editor like everyone else 1 by 1, but then I discovered Mass Content and was blown away with the amount of time It saved me. This is not only great for those who are putting up a new site quickly but for content heavy sites as well. I add at least anything from 10 to 50 articles every 3days.
Quick note, those who are planning to write alot of content at once 10+ make sure you set your Joomla sessions to be longer than whatever the default is (30mins) I think, so that you don't loose your session and what you'll submit through Mass Content.
I wish there was an option to set a publish & expiring date for each articles separately. An option like this by default would be nice to be able to change specific articles publishing rules.
Also any chance of a mass edit?

This goes in as the first extension when I'm creating a site. The ability for me to take my site map for the data and generate it quickly is such a wonderful thing. I'm eternally grateful for the existence of this component.
i had 10 sections and the same 15 categories per section. I tried to use this and it did some things well - it is able to create the categories, and the menu items, but only once per section, so i had to type the categories in each time.
The downside is that several of the menu items for the categories were either a forum, newfeed, or somthing that did not correspond to the 2 choices - so i had to go in and edit each one again.
What might have been a better approach could be creating the first set and "copying" each item with the appropriate menu selections.

wow this extension is a rocket. i have used a lot of extensions listed here but this one made me happier than any before. :D. i just registered only to post and rate this excellent piece of work. as i downloaded i thought about integrating a wysiwyg for that component but you know what ... its already built-in there. and how nice it is down- just awesome. this extension saves us a lotlot of time. supporting the developer is only fair ... i will as soon as i can.

1.3 was throwing some error. So as per forum advise used 1.4 for 1.5.9 Joomla. Works perfectly.
