You're a man.It works perfectly. Guys, if you have problems, just copy the number/key - not any words.

After 3 hours trying to do it. Boom, appear as a miracle... I must have...

Does exactly what it says!
Note to only enter the code between the quotes for google verification. Took a couple of minutes download to verified! Saved me a ton of time, thanks for a wonderful extension!

I installed the plugin and i had to change the code becouse the meta-tag name was "verify v1" instead of "google-verification". Maybe the link was wrong.

Hi,
Google just updated their meta tag name, I will update the plugin with the option to use the old name and the new "google-site-verification".
Kind regards,

didnt work straight out of the box for me, as i needed the meta tag name to be google-site-verification rather than verify-vr1, so i hacked into the php file of the plugin and simply changed the text there. it then worked perfectly. verified within minutes, excellent simple plugin that does the job it was meant to do and does it with style and panache.

Well, I am about half stupid when it comes to back end design and development. It took me a few moments to figure out how to actually install a plugin with joomla, but once I got that, the rest was easy. Thanks for the nifty program and thank you to everyone else for the comments. You all made it very easy.

1. On Google Webmaster Tools page, choose Meta Tag for verification type.
2. ONLY enter the numbers and letters between the "" (including = sign)into the plug-in.
3. Enable Plug-in. Save.
4. Click Verify on Google Webmaster tools. Verified and done!
I included these instructions because the link to the documentation has a problem. Once I figured out exactly what I needed to enter into the plug-in, it was fast and painless!

Hi,
Sorry about that, one harddrive of the server failed, it should be up and running again.
