Updated June 2009: Native Mod for Joomla 1.5.x
Updated Dec 2009 : To support new Google changes, from FFID to URI
Editor's Note
- This extension requires registration to download.
This plugin has been a nightmare. It looks easy install and use on the outside, but it's not. It's single biggest problem after looking at the php code was that it doesn't account for the url scripting changes that Google made when it took over Feedburner (which has been a while now). Example= 'uri' instead of 'ffid' and so on. So what happens? It installs and looks pretty on your site, but when someone goes to subscribe, they get this message, "The feed does not have subscriptions by email enabled" even though it has been enabled. And the forums at VivoCiti have a bunch of people asking the same question with no answers. I'm really disappointed.

I don't see the point. Just add a custom HTML mod and paste in the HTML feedburner gives you (I turn off my editor in the Control panel first). That way you don't have to disable to creator's credit or figure out your ffid or even download and install anything. So what is easier?

nice little module, but it doesn't work unless you change the code to relfect your actual Feed ID; the author's ID is hardcoded into the module. Once that was fixed, worked just fine.

I definitely get to give this an "excellent" rating!
Was planning on going in (some day ;o) and hard coding the feedburner subscription into the template so it would show on every page - but now I don't have to!
Click, click - easy peasy - add my feed id and the name I want the RSS subscription to go by and I'm done!
Looked around the web site and looks like some other tools are there worth trying, as well.
Thanks for the module!
On a side note: updating the module settings doesn't work in IE; had to use Firefox. Once the settings are updated, the module performs the way it should for users in IE so no worries there.
Hope that helps,
