SE Keywords tackles 3 main issues:
1. In "Test Mode" you don't have to wait for search engines to index your website. You can immediately check how the module works and fine-tune your settings.
2. Joomla! Search component, com_search, fails to work properly if search strings are longer than 20 characters.
3. Results displayed by SE Keywords come from all published searchbots and not just from content items.
In addition, you can use special characters and html to customize your welcome messages and the results can display as a list or a word cloud.
From the Demo page you can check both how the module works in test mode and how it handles real searches.
No bugs have been reported since the stable version.

Very well made, easily customizable. Works great in J1.0 but no J1.5 download available.

Have recently installed this module; after reporting a few initial bugs the dev has now corrected this in Beta 1.3
Works well for visitors coming from search engines;
links the entered search string to your site's search tool
with a brief explanation. Definitely will improve the visitor's experience as they can quickly find the specific content page they were looking for with just a click or two.
We recommend this module to improve results for visitors
coming from search engines; for other visitors it is invisible (no confusion--only appears when needed)

thanks for the extensive review.
As of today (Sep 6, 2007), we have released the "beta 5" or pre-stable version of the module. No major changes, just cleaner code.
"Pre-stable" means we are just allowing some more time to report any bugs, but the code works already pretty smoothly.
One recommendation: keep an eye on the Tips & Tricks section of the Forum (http://joomla.pietrogallo.it/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=7&func=showcat&catid=21) to find ways to customize the visitor experience.
