This worked well out of the box, my only addition would be that included with the component or linked under "Help" in Configuration is the the patch that makes this work in Joomla Contacts. Here's the patch, it's buried in the forums, but it worked the first time:

I'm using it on a Joomla 1.0.x site.

Installed fine, but there was no information on the site on how to apply to the forms.

A simple set of instructions should be provided for users. I wasn't the only one on the forums looking for an answer and not getting an answer to the basic question. Probably could be installed by experienced programmer but then you probably could apply any capthca solution and won't need it as an extension.

In the end after a numbers of hours trying to install I moved to another solution and had it sorted in five minutes.
A least with other solutions provide basic instructions on how to apply and use extension.

It installs without problem but then I could not get in the "Edit configuration". It worked only after I clicked on the main Component menu and saved the configuration from there.

I downloaded the patch to use the captcha in the Joomla! contact form. Installation is easy.

I would give an Excellent reating, but therefore I think the captcha is too easy to hack as the numbers are easily recognizable and there is no audio for visually impaired people.

I miss this feature. If anyone can not read the captcha, this could mean, that you have to fill whole form again (if you must reload browser).
The extension itself works without problems in Joomla! 1.5.

This component works very well, and I highly recommend it. Spam has been stopped cold.

I installed the component painlessly, and used the patch files to spam-proof my site's contact form. I made a slight modification to one of the patch files to make the contact form look neater.

No good for me. I installed the component file and the patch. After the patch was installed when I tried to open the Contact US menu item It loaded a white page that said "restricted access". I had to uninstall and go back to the original file that was patched to get things back to normal.

Suggestion, document the exact procedure for installation for us new to Joomla. Not everyone is a programmer or old hand at Joomla and will know what to do. It may be a great component but not for me!

This is a really good component to use with EasyGuestbook. The only problem is support - if you don't speak German.

Same as the previous comment, liked the concept but searched on the web site for the "contact patch" and couldn't find anything. The was the reason for my installing it in the first place so can't really test it or pass further comment.

I love the IDEA of this. As someone who is not a programmer or developer, I've run into a brick wall trying to install captcha images into my joomla 1.5 contact form. This component installed easily and shows great potential. However, I've visisted the easy-joomla website where a patch for the com_content form is supposed to be available, and could not find the patch. Hopefully, one will be available soon. Installing the captcha images into the joomla 1.5 contact form has been ridiculously difficult for something that should be a standard component!!
