Excellent work on this plugin. Took some minor tweaking to get it working with our site as we needed it, but fantastic plugin!

Getting Joomla search to behave as you need to: I've always found it somewhat bothersome. This is a very nice search mambot, great addendum to the options available.
I've used it in combination with the Advanced Search component. That way, density search becomes optional and I can still choose the default ways of searching.

I agree that Joomla's search functionality leaves a LOT to be desired, but I cannot recommend the Keyword Density plugin at this time (12/04/2007) for the same reason: usability.
The search results work just fine, showing your pages sorted by Keyword Density. However, the problem is that the select box for sorting your results no longer works. You have no choice but to order by Keyword Density (as it overrides any other possibility). Thus, you have a useless select box on your screen serving no purpose.
Either the ordering select box would have to be removed (not a good solution) or the ordering box should be changed to offer Keyword Density as just another option. Also, it would be more intuitive if you can offer the same search mechanism for Web Links, Contacts, etc.
I'm not sure whether or not these are design problems that can easily be addressed by the author of this plugin, but the usability problems that it poses prevents me from using this on my Web site.
Perhaps a future version may remedy this problem.

Often frustrated by the way Joomla's built-in search seemed to always put irrelevant results at the top of the results - this plugin seems to have solved that problem. Very handy indeed.

This is an excellent bot and very needed.
It would be good if the capability could be extended to work on the component also - because once I land on the search page - I lose the keyword-dense function.
Nonetheless - an excellent starting point - Thanks.

Hi justlovejoomla,
Could you please contact me on my website?
I don't quite understand what you mean when you say you lose the keyword-dense function.

All 1.5 extensions should be provided with en-GB language ini files IMO.
Description and parameters strings in back-end are untranslatable, as well as the front-end display string.

This seems to address one of the shortcomings of my favourite CMS. So far so good, but spectacular from what i've seen so far.

Hi tafkar,
thanks for the first review of the plugin.
I'm so excited about this extension. I think it's the most useful one I've worked on so far!
By the way, I've just updated the Joomla! 1.5 version to RC3.
Ciao!
